There are a lot of things women are taught to believe about exercise that make staying consistent harder than it needs to be.

That a workout only counts if it leaves you exhausted.
That more training automatically means better results.
That you need to wait until you feel motivated.
You don’t.

Strength is built through structured training you can actually repeat, progress and fit into your real life.

Because more isn’t better. Better is better. 💪

Which one have you believed: 1, 2 or 3?

Hello, September 🍂💛

A new month, but no pressure to become a whole new person overnight.

Keep learning.
Keep moving.
Stay strong.
Stay positive.
Slow down when you need to.
Be kind.
Be happy.
Be better, one little step at a time.

September doesn’t need to be about doing more.

Maybe it’s simply about continuing to build on what you’ve already started.

Here’s to a month of good vibes, strong bodies, happy moments and plenty of life in between. 💪✨

Welcome, September. Let’s see what you’ve got. 🍂

Today’s gym session was frustrating 😅

You know those sessions where things just aren’t moving the way you want them to?

That was me today.

I got it done, sent the videos to my coach, got some really useful feedback and moved on with my day.

Next problem: I had shopping to do, then a client, then lunch… and I knew if I waited until after all of that to eat properly, I’d be absolutely starving 😂

So this was my little bridge between training and lunch.

Trying the Strawberry Crème protein from for the first time 🍓

Not normally a strawberry-flavour girl, but it genuinely tastes like strawberry milkshake. And considering my husband and daughter currently seem determined to keep the UK strawberry industry afloat, I’m thinking I can sneak some actual strawberries into this too 😂

But this is also what nutrition looks like in real life for me.

It doesn’t have to be the perfectly timed post-workout meal.

Sometimes it’s simply giving your body something useful after training, keeping yourself satisfied and making the next good decision easier.

Then I can finish my client, make a proper fresh lunch and carry on with my day. 💪

What’s your go-to post-gym option when you can’t eat a proper meal straight away?

This is exactly why I created Lift with Intention. 💛

I received this comment over on LinkedIn yesterday and it genuinely made my day.

Sometimes we don’t need another complicated plan, another workout or someone telling us we need to try harder.

Sometimes we just need that little reminder to go and do the thing. 💪

And that’s exactly the kind of environment I want to create inside Lift with Intention | Community for Women.

A space for women who want to get stronger and healthier, but also have jobs, kids, families, responsibilities and lives that don’t revolve around the gym.

Inside we’re talking about:

💪 Strength training
🏋️‍♀️ Making training fit around real life
🥗 Nutrition and healthier habits
💛 Building consistency without needing to be perfect
🎉 And celebrating the wins along the way

Because doing this alongside other women who get it makes a difference.

If that sounds like the kind of community you’d like to be part of, come and join us. 💛

🎙️ Something a little different from me today…

I recently joined Focus on Why to talk about a part of my journey that I don’t often speak about in this much depth.

Going from being a business owner and Team GB powerlifter to becoming a mum changed far more than my routine.

It changed my identity.

We talked about motherhood, losing and rediscovering parts of yourself, finding purpose again, and why strength training has remained such a huge part of who I am.

We also got into something I’m incredibly passionate about:

💪 Why women need strength training
🧠 The confidence lifting can build outside the gym
❤️ Why muscle matters as we get older
🏋️ And why my mission is to get a barbell into the hands of as many women as possible

It’s a longer one, so grab a cuppa and have a listen if any of that resonates with you. ☕️

A big thanks Amy for having me on Focus on WHY 🙏

You do not have to earn your food. 👏

Training isn’t punishment for what you ate yesterday.

And food isn’t a reward for how hard you trained today.

Lift because you want to be strong.
Lift for your health.
Lift for your confidence.
Lift so your body can keep doing the things you love for years to come.

Build a body that supports your life, not one you’re constantly trying to punish. 💪

Are you changing your workouts because you’re worried doing the same thing is “boring”? 👀

More exercises.
More variety.
A different workout every week.

It feels like you’re doing more.

But if your goal is to get stronger and actually see progress, constantly changing what you do can make that much harder.

Your body doesn’t need to be constantly surprised.

It needs the chance to adapt, improve and get stronger.

In my latest YouTube video, I’m talking about the variety trap and why doing the “boring” basics consistently might actually get you better results.

The moment most women realise strength training actually works?

When they stop judging every workout by how exhausted they feel afterwards.

You don’t need to crawl out of the gym.
You don’t need to ache for three days.
You don’t need to burn hundreds of calories for it to “count”.

You need to train.

Recover.

Come back.

And gradually do a little more than you could before.

That’s where the results come from.

Not one brutal workout.

Weeks and months of ordinary workouts that quietly make you stronger. 💪
