25g of protein... from tomato tart? 🍅

This recipe from Niki Webster - Rebel Recipes is an absolute keeper.

The filling is made with silken tofu, chickpeas and cashews, so every quarter of the tart packs around 25g of protein. I didn't have any buckwheat flour, so I swapped in 3 tbsp of gram flour... because apparently there wasn't quite enough chickpea already! 😄

I also left out the olives (just not my thing).

Next time I'll bake it in a slightly shallower tin and I think a drizzle of balsamic glaze would work beautifully with the rose harissa and sun-dried tomato paste.

I served mine with 120g of pan-fried sea bass (skin on) and a simple side salad, and the whole meal was perfect for a summer's evening.

I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's slice because recipes like this always seem to taste even better the next day.

If you're trying to increase your protein intake without eating chicken at every meal, this is definitely one to save.

Okay, I know, not a glamorous purchase!

But as our British summers seem to be getting hotter for longer...this felt a sensible investment.

Old set up was one fan, a lot of optimism and amazing clients who knuckled down and did it anyway.

Now I'm covered for all weathers...bring it on!

Huge thanks to Gareth for the install.

So whether its bodywork, personal trainer or Pilates...all can be done comfortably and not sweltering!

Happy International Pilates Day! 🥂

There is a huge misconception that you need a room full of heavy machinery to change your body. But today is all about the power of the Mat. Just you, your breath, and your own gravity.

For the beginners: we’ll nail the foundations together. For the intermediates: I’m coming for your form. The mat doesn't care how long you've been doing this—it’s always going to find a way to challenge you.

From the first Hundred to the most advanced Teaser, the mat is where the magic happens. Let’s celebrate movement today!

How did you first discover Pilates?
Whether it was yesterday or ten years ago, I want to hear your story in the comments! 👇

“Could this be lymphatics? Could it just be trapped fluid?”

So let’s put this into context properly.

The lymphatic system matters. A lot.
When it’s not functioning well, you can feel puffy, heavy, uncomfortable in your body.

And in some cases, yes, there can be significant fluid retention. I’ve had a client lose 3kg through treatment, but that was pitting oedema. That’s medical. That’s not a general fat loss strategy.

This is where the conversation needs to be more responsible.

Lymphatic drainage supports the system.
Fascia work helps you move better.

But neither replaces the foundations needed for long term change.

Strength work or Pilates builds the foundations, capacity and support your body needs - and in doing that, your lymphatic system is naturally supported through movement, breathing and muscle contraction.

Nutrition matters here too.
What you consistently expect your body to process on a daily basis has a direct impact on how it functions, feels, and responds.

My approach isn’t about isolating one system.

It’s about building a body that works well as a whole,
with the right support layered in where it’s actually needed.

No extremes. No shortcuts.

And importantly - no blanket claims.

Because real results come from consistency, not quick fixes. I know it's dull but true!

If you’re dealing with true lymphatic issues, you need the right support and sometimes medical input. That’s a completely different conversation to general weight loss.

If you’re ready to do this properly, I’m opening a beta programme focused on nutrition, movement and accountability - building confidence and results that actually last.

No fancy promises. You do need to put the work in.

But the return is there if you do.

Do you do this?
“Hold on tight,” your mother said… and you never stopped.

Not just in the gym. In real life. You grip the kettle, the shopping bags, the steering wheel like they’re about to escape. Everything gets held at 100%. Your forearms take over, your shoulders creep up, your neck tightens. By the end of the day you feel stiff and tense and wonder why.

It’s not weakness. It’s too much tension in the wrong places.

Grip when it’s needed. Let go when it’s not.

Next time you pick something up, notice it. Can you use less?

Comment below if this resonates with you.

Less gripping. More ease. Better movement.
