“Just a hairdresser.”
A phrase so many people in this industry have heard at some point.. or quietly told themselves.
We’re often made to feel ‘less than’ because we’re not out here saving lives… but moments like this remind me that what we do matters more than people realise.
Hair isn’t just hair. Confidence isn’t shallow. Feeling like yourself again isn’t insignificant.
Sometimes people walk through our doors carrying the weight of a hard season, low confidence, exhaustion, grief, stress, motherhood, burnout… and somehow a few hours of feeling seen, listened to and cared for can give them a little piece of themselves back.
Every single day, we have the privilege of helping women see themselves differently again and sometimes even becoming part of special memories for little girls too!
And honestly…that is more than enough for me! 🤍
