August so far at Lavender Court ........
We've celebrated birthdays, got creative for World Elephant Day, enjoyed dress-up singalongs with the lovely Paul and Debbie, and got moving with Dancercise on our Echo Portal,
we even used Photography Day to inspire songs before striking our best poses for the camera.
Lots of laughter, movement, creativity and wonderful memories being made together.

When the Activities Coordinator is away... the residents still play!
Microphone, Karaoke and musical instruments at the ready!
It's moments like these that remind us our care team don't just provide outstanding care, they create memories too. Whether it's joining in a sing-along, sharing a laugh or encouraging residents to have a go, every member of the team plays their part.

A huge thank you to Gina and all of our wonderful care staff for always going the extra mile. we couldn't ask for a better team.

Yesterday, three residents, staff, family members and friends went to Haldon Forest Park in Exeter to complete our final mile of the Southwest Care Homes charity walk. It was wonderful to see residents and staff from other homes come together to celebrate. We are so proud of everyone who took part—whether walking, cheering, or supporting, each person helped us reach the finish line.
A special thank you to Tony and Tracey. Tony, our Maintenance Man, and his wife kindly loaned their minibus and gave their time to take us to Exeter. Without your generosity, this trip wouldn’t have been possible. Your kindness and community spirit mean so much., So thankyou again.
And of course, no road trip is complete without a McDonald’s on the way home! 🍟😂
Thank you to everyone who supported us—by cheering, donating, joining walks, or following our journey. We’ve made memories to last for years. Here’s to the next adventure!

On Saturday, our residents enjoyed a wonderful evening watching Perranporth Carnival, soaking up the atmosphere and community spirit. We were even treated to a few private performances along the route, which brought plenty of smiles and laughter!
The Cornish wind certainly made an appearance, but it wasn't enough to spoil our evening. Wrapped up with warm hearts, lots of laughter, and wonderful company, we had an absolutely fantastic time.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the carnival such a memorable event. We can't wait for the next adventure!

💌 A special friendship through the post 💌

One of our wonderful residents was delighted to receive another letter from their lovely pen pal, Noel. There really is something magical about receiving a letter, and it always brings a smile to their face.

After reading every word with great excitement, our resident couldn't wait to write back and even included a beautiful picture they had drawn and coloured especially for Noel. 🎨❤️

It's amazing how a few kind words and a little creativity can brighten someone's day. Thank you, Noel, for helping create such a meaningful friendship. We can't wait to hear all about the next letter! 💜

🚶‍♀️🌍 We're over halfway there! 🌍🚶‍♂️
What an incredible few weeks it's been for our residents at Lavender Court Care Home as we continue our 100-mile charity challenge! 💜
We've enjoyed seaside strolls finished with well-deserved ice creams, travelled through France with our Tour de France walk followed by a delicious French-themed afternoon tea, and completed our Paws in the Park walk. Although the hot weather meant our four-legged friends had to stay safely at home, our amazing residents still got those miles in! ☀️🐾
We've also been overwhelmed by the kindness of our local community. So many people have stopped to cheer us on and have very generously donated while we've been out and about. Your support means so much to us and our residents. Thank you! ❤️
Every step, every smile and every donation is helping us get closer to our goal. The finish line is now in sight, and we can't wait to cross it together!
