ing habits. Sometimes you just need to stop. Take a step back and see where you are. And decide you're going to put yourself first for a change. I'm Liz - busy mum of two, UK Registered Dietitian, Health Coach and host of The Be Well Space and I really want you to be well. You are important. Your health is important. Taking care of you is important, and eating in a healthy way and nourishing your body, mind and soul, is an important part of that care. Working with me you will learn:

An example of how to nutritionally balance a meal in the simplest way I know...

Carbs - wheat&white wrap
Protein - hummous and felafel
Veg - carrots, cucumber, mixed leaves

Keep it simple. You're busy enough without needing another complicated thing to get your head around!

Weekend Round Up!

πŸ‘©πŸ»β€βš•οΈ A trip to see the GP for me on Saturday morning. I know! Saturday! We have a really good GP practice. Very grateful for that.

πŸŽ‰ Meanwhile Child no.1 came 2nd in her Cheerleading Competition up in Birmingham!

πŸŠπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Then a fun swim session with Child no.2 in the afternoon at Fort Stamford Health & Fitness followed by more rollerskating πŸ›ΌπŸ›Ό in the evening with Sk8house Plymouth

πŸ›Ό Today, another rollerskating session which I did skate at!

Then a yummy roast dinner out at The Royal Oak, Hooe πŸ˜‹ 🍴

😴 Exhaustion kicked in after that and I had 3 naps!! πŸ’€

Then dragged myself out for a dog walk! 🐢

πŸ˜• Feeling very sorry for myself at times as I've got really uncomfortable bloating and tummy pain at the moment but looking back on the weekend all in all it was a good one! 😊

πŸŽ‰ Ooh, and with a little help from my friends - Mike Turner - a milestone was reached!!! The Be Well Space now has 1000 followers!

When I was going through post natal depression I felt so incredibly sad, ashamed and frustrated that I didn't have the head space or the energy to feed myself or my family well πŸ˜•

It was important to me.
It just felt too much.

❌ I couldn't think what to make.

❌ The logistics of actually cooking anything with 2 children under 2 to look after at the same time felt impossible.

I felt like a failure.
And I was scared to ask for help.

What would people think of me? πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Yet, somehow I did find the strength and courage to ask. And I did get help.

And having someone to talk it through with, and make a simple plan with really made such a difference βœ…

It wasn't complicated or cordon bleu cooking. It was simple, basic nutrition principles in action and quick simple meals on the table 🍽️

If you, or someone you know are feeling this way at the moment, please know that...

- you're not alone
- asking for help is a sign of strength
- talking it through really helps
