We are delighted to welcome Amber to the Anchorpoint Home Care team.

Amber brings with her an incredible 24 years of experience at Derriford Hospital, where she has cared for patients across a wide range of departments throughout her career. Her dedication and commitment to delivering high-quality care have recently led to her promotion to Junior Sister within Interventional Radiology, a role she continues to hold alongside her position with Anchorpoint Home Care.

Having spent her entire adult life caring for people, Amber felt it was the right time to take her wealth of knowledge, clinical skills, and compassion into the community, helping people remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

At Anchorpoint Home Care, the safety of our team is incredibly important to us. Our carers work throughout Plymouth and the surrounding areas, often working alone within the community and supporting vulnerable people in their own homes.

That’s why we are proud to be rolling out the PEOPLESAFE app across our care team 📱

PEOPLESAFE is an advanced lone-worker safety system designed to provide immediate support in the unlikely event of an emergency. The app allows our staff to discreetly raise an SOS alarm, instantly connecting them to a 24/7 professional Alarm Receiving Centre who can access GPS location data, communicate directly with the staff member, and contact emergency services if required.

Some of the features include:

✔ 24/7 emergency support
✔ Fast GPS location tracking
✔ SOS panic alarm
✔ Check-in and welfare monitoring
✔ Fall detection technology
✔ Direct escalation support in emergencies
✔ What3Words integration for highly accurate locations
