⚡️What I meal prepped this week as a sports dietitian getting back into running⚡️

Back with your weekly dose of meal prep inspo to keep your training feeling good & your performance going up and up and up 👏🏼🥇📈

On the menu this week:
🍝 Slow cooker turkey bolognese - super easy to put together and also makes a good number of portions so you get some for the week and some for the freezer ✅🙌🏼
🥣 Yoghurt bowls - Greek yoghurt, frozen raspberries, and honey 🍯 super quick to put together & a snack that keeps me full & gets a good calcium source in to help keep bones strong 🦴
🌱 Tuna pesto pasta - a questionable protein choice but it’s all we’ve got in the cupboard 😅🤣 a simple pesto dressing made with Greek yoghurt, pesto, and lemon juice and packed with lots of veggies (again a throw together from what’s hanging around at the end of the week 🤣👏🏼)
🫐 Blueberry and lemon overnight oats - trying a new flavour after having some blueberries from a too good to go bag in the freezer 🌍 the perfect post gym breakfast for work with a little added protein powder for a higher protein content and a good carb source + fibre bits from the blueberries and some flaxseed 🌱🙌🏼

Jumping on the trend inspired by Sophia | Physio & Fitness 🧠✨ ⭐️ EMM ⭐️

🥯 I will always tell you to eat your carbs
☕️ I LOVE an oat latte in the morning
😴 No, I won’t reply to your message after 8:30pm - wind down time for bed 😅🤣
🍷I am partial to a glass (or two) of wine - especially with the gals ❤️
🕰️ I will never tell you to not eat a food - just might tell you to have it at a different time
❤️ I believe food is about more than just the nutrition it provides us
🏃‍♀️I’d rather get up and go for a run and a pastry than go out drinking in the evening
🪫I believe a smaller body doesn’t always mean better performance
🧪 I believe in evidence based nutrition, not following the latest social media food trend
🙌🏼 I won’t advise changes to your diet unless I think they’re needed

⚡️What I meal prepped this week as a busy gal trying to eat healthy⚡️

Back with another run down of this weeks meal prep to hopefully help you realise meal prep doesn’t have to be a chore 🤞🏼🙌🏼

On the menu this week:
🍝 Steak linguine - was making this anyway and bulked up to I knew I had another portion for after my friend had left
🥰 Marry me tofu sauce - again a cool once, eat 4 times situation 😂 this one’s perfect for the freezer and can be easily reheated so you’re not eating the same thing 4 days in a row if that’s not your style 😎
🍌 Banana and cinnamon muffins - banana muffins are my go to snack atm and so easy to make 🙌🏼
🫜 Pickled radish - curtesy of my too good to go bag 🌍 (also who knew there was a radish emoji 😅🤣)
🍫 date, peanut butter, and chocolate bars - seen a few people making these on here and had to give them a go 😍 - they live up to expectations 👏🏼

& that’s what keeps me coming back each day 🥰🥰

Supporting athletes & seeing the changes in their performance, mood, recovery, and relaxation around their nutrition is one of the most rewarding things 🥰⚡️👏🏼 - best job ever ✅✅

Although performance is often the main reason clients come to see me - they always come away with so much more ❤️

🚩Red cards I’m handing out as a sports dietitian in 2026🚩

I’m sick of the bs, you’re sick of the bs, we all just wanna train, enjoy food, & support good performance - if you’re the same hi 👋🏼 welcome to the balanced side of social media nutrition ⚡️🥰

⚖️ Welcome to the balanced side of social media ⚖️

10 hills I’ll die on as a sports dietitian - prioritising balance, performance, & evidence based information that supports a healthy relationship with food ⚡️❤️

1. Speaks for itself ⚡️😂

2. Advice on social media often prioritises one nutrient - but one nutrient isn’t going to fix your performance or energy 🪫

3. To get personalised nutrition advice - you need a full assessment looking into your current diet, you history with food, medical conditions, and lifestyle

4. Sometimes the timings off, sometimes the amounts off, but it’s all a learning game and getting your nutrition right as an athlete is difficult - especially around other life commitments - don’t beat yourself up if it’s not always perfect ❤️

5. People often come to me asking for meals plans - but this isn’t the cure you want it to be. Having a rigid meal plan doesn’t support long term changes needed with nutrition and can create an all or nothing mindset 🧠

6. Getting nutrition advice from those not properly trained can result in negative relationships with food - food is about so much more than what’s on the plate in front of you & incorrect advice can last a lifetime 🥲

7. Nutrition has so many ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ - usually general & strong worded statements are a red flag that the nutrition advice might not always be accurate (and these are usually the stuff that performs well on social media 🚩)

8. Go out for the meal & enjoy it 😍😂

9. Try & use metrics that measure improvements in your health & performance rather than focusing on body shape/size - your smaller body isn’t necessarily the one you’re going to perform best in and can often mean reduced muscle mass & energy stores 🪫

10. I can honestly say I enjoy pretty much every meal I eat (unless I start getting a bit too experimental 😂) and feel confident I’m doing this alongside meeting my nutrition and performance goals - let me help you do the same 👀🥰 good nutrition doesn’t have to mean suffering 😌

🏃‍♀️What I meal prepped this week as a sports dietitian getting back into training🏃‍♀️

Another week of being back on the grind but always meal prepping so I can still live my life & not have to worry about what’s for dinner when I get home ✅✅

On the menu this week:
🍝 Creamy pesto sausage pasta bake - inspired by Ems 🍒🐆 & made using caramelised onion sausages for an extra bit of yum 😋
🍌 Banana oat muffins - my easy holy grail snack for a good energy boost⚡️🙌🏼
🍅 Shaksuka tomato sauce - made shaksuka for lunch so made extra sauce to put in the freezer & use whenever I’m fancying a shaksuka so it’s takes me 15 minutes not 30 🙌🏼
🌈 Nectarine, kiwi, date, & peanut butter yoghurt pots - a mouthful (literally) but a whole load of goodness in these & a good balance of nutrients to keep you satisfied 🥰✅
