The birth preparation industry has accidentally convinced women that feeling prepared comes from collecting more information.

Another podcast, checklist or “must-have”…But information doesn’t automatically become confidence.

Confidence is built through familiarity with your breath, movement and coming back to yourself when things feel intense.

That’s why you can know everything about birth and still feel completely unprepared when labour begins👀

Because birth isn’t an exam.

It’s an ✨EXPERIENCE✨

And good experiences aren’t always met with more knowledge, they’re met with practice. So if you’re constantly wondering why you still don’t feel ready, maybe it isn’t because you need to learn more. Maybe it’s because nobody has shown you how to prepare yourself, not just your birth plan.

That’s exactly why I created The Birth Prep Studio. Less noise and ticking boxes - more connection and building internal tools❤️

Send this to someone who’s pregnant and save it for later if you needed the reminder too✨

Over the past 12 months I’ve noticed how many conversations our pregnant community are having about deactivating social media because it’s all just becoming too much.

YES, we want to understand birth and know our options, but there comes a point where more information actually takes us further away from ourselves.

Birth is something you’re going to ✨EXPERIENCE✨. It flows when you lean into trust, intuition and connection. Not noise, overwhelm and consuming endless content.

This is why nervous system training and pregnancy yoga are such a huge part of birth preparation. They give you the chance to slow down, shut out the noise and tune into what you are feeling. What is your body telling you? How does it feel?

Because after all, your only job during labour is to ✨FEEL✨ what your body is asking of you and then choose how you want to ✨RESPOND✨

This is exactly why I created The Birth Prep Studio. An online space where you can come back each week in your own time, reconnect with yourself, prepare for birth and shut out the noise.

If that’s the kind of birth prep you’ve been looking for, we’d love to have you💛

A few behind-the-scenes tweaks for TBPS + Plymouth classes booking page recently… and yes, I did slightly break my own system in the process😅

Everything is now back where it should be under “Plymouth Classes” → “Timetable & Booking” (please let me know if you come across any other issues - I will send you the right link and rectify wherever it’s wrong)🙈💖

June classes are filling up fast, so if you’re planning to join us I’d book sooner rather than later ✨

Pregnancy in a heatwave is a full-body experience 🫠☀️ So here are 5 very important, highly scientific survival tips… Which is your favourite?😝

When your body is already working hard growing a baby, heat can push your nervous system into overwhelm pretty quickly.

Which is exactly why I’ve just uploaded a new guided relaxation on YouTube — using the water element to help you cool, soften and regulate from the inside out 💛

If your body has been feeling hot, tired or overstimulated… this one is for you.

🎧 Head to our YouTube channel (link in bio✨)

And if you’re wanting slower movement + deeper rest across your pregnancy, there are also 18 guided audio relaxations in The Birth Prep Studio. They are designed for each stage of pregnancy and birth so you can move through whenever you need them🙏✨

9 babies born this week🥹✨

Some births were fast, some were long, some stayed exactly on “plan”, some took a completely different turn.

But the thing that remained the same for all of these women?

“I felt calm.”
“I felt in control.”
“I trusted myself.”
“I knew what was happening.”
“I wasn’t scared.”

THAT is the work.

Birth confidence is not pretending everything will go perfectly. Disclaimer - it usually doesn’t😂 But building the kind of trust, understanding and nervous system safety that allows you to stay grounded even when birth asks you to pivot is the key.

These women didn’t just hope to feel prepared.
They consciously prepared… They learned birth physiology, they understood their options, practiced regulation and connected to their bodies/babies.
They stopped outsourcing all of their power and turned their energy INWARD✨✨

And that changes EVERYTHING👏🏼

No matter how birth unfolds, feeling safe in yourself matters.

So proud of every single woman inside TBPS and our Plymouth community this week🤍

If you want grounded birth education, biomechanics, pregnancy yoga + nervous system support all in one place, come join us inside The Birth Prep Studio✨

With the heat this week we’ll be slowing things right down, moving gently and keeping the fan on 😅✨

A space to stretch, breathe, regulate your nervous system and connect with yourself (and your little one) amongst the chaos of life/motherhood/pregnancy.

Most of what feels overwhelming in pregnancy isn’t actually pregnancy being “too much”. It’s just that not enough people talk openly about the reality.

So instead you’re left guessing. Googling. Asking ChatGPT. Second-guessing your body and trying to piece it all together from a hundred different opinions.

In reality, your body is doing exactly what it’s designed to do.

And this is one of the reasons I created The Birth Prep Studio — to bring together movement, birth education and nervous system support in one place, so you’re not trying to figure it all out alone.

If you’re pregnant right now and thinking “I wish someone had told me this earlier”… that’s exactly why it exists.

Join us in TBPS — 20% off is live until tomorrow morning, bringing full access to £31.99🙏✨
