O Lord, that our prayer life may be in accordance with your will, desiring that which your heart is fixed upon, aligned with your priorities, and not the vain ramblings of an inward looking, easily distracted, and folly prone servant such as I.

Oh Lord God, let prayer be as easy and natural to our flesh as breathing, a necessary thing for our physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Consistent, persistent and forged in the fervent heat of true relationship with you.

Let O Lord God our closet time be pleasing to you and let us not be ashamed at our importunity in knocking. Asking, seeking and knocking, and above all, knowing you are able to brig to pass that which you have given us a heart to pray, in the precious name of Jesus'. Amen.

MAY THE GOSPEL SPEED AHEAD & BE HONOURED

2 Thessalonians 3:1 NIV

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.

Paul's call for prayer comes with a desire and passion to see the message of our Lord Jesus Christ SPREAD RAPIDLY and BE HONOURED.

This reflects URGENCY and SOUNDNESS.

The Gospel must be spread with a sense of urgency without neglecting our responsibility to keep it sound, sincere and genuine.

The message is honoured when we maintain biblical purity, soundness and integrity.

The minister of the Gospel must stay faithful to the text, keep it plain and simple and allow Scripture to speak clearly and powerfully as God intended it.

May our prayeful reflections today be:

"Oh Lord our God how do you want to use me as your vessel in spreading the Gospel and keeping it honoured?"

The Condition of Our Hearts

God calls us to examine our hearts and motives.

When we pray and fast, are we doing so for personal gain, or are we genuinely seeking God?

When we eat and drink, are we thinking only about ourselves?

The Almighty God commands us to administer true justice, show mercy and compassion to one another, and refrain from oppressing the widows, the fatherless, the foreigners, and the poor.

We must not plot evil against one another.

But what happens when our hearts become hardened and we refuse to listen to God's Word?

In Zechariah 7, God warns His people that their disobedience provoked His anger, resulting in their scattering among the nations.

:
God is not concerned merely with our prayers, fasting, and outward religious activities.

He desires hearts that are genuinely devoted to Him and lives that reflect His character.

True worship is not simply about religious observance; it is about a sincere relationship with God that transforms how we treat one another.
