I’d like to celebrate a little milestone today… 🥂🌊

300 people have chosen to follow my little corner of the internet on Instagram, and I’m genuinely so grateful.

Behind this account are countless recipe tests (including plenty of failed ones 🤭), hours of creating content, learning as I go, and a passion for making healthier food for children feel achievable, exciting and delicious.

It’s easy to focus on the next goal, but today I’m celebrating this one. Every follow, like, comment and message means more than you probably realise.

Here’s to small wins, big dreams and hopefully helping many more families along the way. Thank you for being here. 💙

Found these recently…

Peanut butter stuffed oat bars - and have to say they are delicious 😋

Apart from some seed oil, the ingredients are pretty clean and whole food focused too.

So good to find a quick ‘grab and go’ treat snack that isn’t full of ultra processed ingredients and doesn’t leave me feeling guilty!

Not afraid to show it… this one was a fail 👎

Recipe development isn’t always picture-perfect.

The idea was a soft sourdough bun with apple and banana purée swirled throughout. Sounds good in theory.

The problem? The purée blended into the dough, so you couldn’t actually see the swirl, and because the flavour was so subtle, it just tasted like a bread roll.

Back to the drawing board on this one! 📝

Sharing the fails is just as important as sharing the wins. Every recipe teaches us something, and sometimes the “not quite right” bakes are what lead to the best ideas later on.

On to the next recipe test… 👀

Wait for it… 🫐💜

The swirl reveal might just be my favourite part.

Soft sourdough, sweet blueberry filling and those beautiful purple layers running all the way through. This is exactly why recipe development is so exciting - sometimes you cut into a bake and it turns out even better than you imagined.

Could these blueberry sourdough swirls be making their way onto a future snack box menu?👀 If not they are definitely on the menu in my house!

A little more of me than usual… 🍽️

Most of the time I share recipes, snack box ideas and child nutrition content, but I thought I’d share some of the meals I’ve been eating recently too.

As someone who talks about nutrition for children, I think it’s important to show that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. Most of my meals are built around simple, everyday ingredients that taste good but contain different essential nutrients.

Because nutrition isn’t just about what we feed our children - it’s about the habits and relationship with food they see modelled around them too.

Which meal would be your favourite? 👀

Hi, I’m Sophia 👋

If you’re new here, welcome!

I’m a Child Nutrition Coach based in Poole, helping parents make feeding their children feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more achievable.

For many years, through various roles, I’ve had first hand experience supporting families with feeding their children - everything from weaning and picky eating, to creating healthier eating habits and reducing ultra-processed foods.

But recently, my business has started evolving in an exciting new direction…

After achieving my 5⭐ food hygiene rating, I’ve begun developing homemade children’s snack products that bring my nutrition philosophy to life. Think nutrient-packed, family-friendly snacks made with real ingredients, designed to make healthy choices easier for busy parents.

My goal has always been to help children eat well. Now I’m doing that not only through education and support, but also through creating products that families can actually use in their everyday lives.

So whether you’re here for nutrition advice, lunchbox inspiration, nutritious food products, or to follow the journey of my children’s snack boxes, I’m so glad you’re here 💙

What if snack time was already sorted for the week? 👀

I’ve been working on an idea for busy families: a weekly children’s snack box filled with homemade sweet and savoury snacks.

✨ Refined sugar free options
✨ Made with whole-food ingredients
✨ No ultra-processed ingredients (except where occasional chocolate is used)
✨ Delivered locally

This is just a sample box for now, but I’m excited to share more of the journey with you.

Follow along for updates, behind-the-scenes baking and the possible launch of the Nourished Snack Box 💙

These homemade brioches contain just 8 simple ingredients.

Compare that to many supermarket and branded alternatives, which can contain anywhere from 15–18 ingredients - including emulsifiers, preservatives, flavourings and other ultra-processed additives.

For me, that’s a pretty easy choice. 🏆

Children don’t need long ingredient lists to enjoy their favourite foods. Sometimes, simple really is best.

These homemade brioches are just one example of the kinds of snacks you’ll find in my upcoming snack boxes - made with real ingredients, lower in sugar and focused on keeping ultra-processed foods to a minimum.

Because nutritious snacks don’t have to be boring. 💚

Would your child give these a try? 👇
