Congratulations to Helen Prosser, Specialist Support Worker at Oldland Common supported living, who has been named Agincare’s Overall Employee of the Month for October!

Since joining during the service’s mobilisation, Helen has played a key role in supporting the team and helping the service support settle into their new home.

This month, Helen went above and beyond to help someone make a positive transition to the service. Her proactive approach helped resolve medication arrangements, supporting a smooth move and continuity of care.

Registered Manager Polly Massie said:
“Helen is a great asset to our team and has a very ‘can do’ approach.

"She is not afraid to ask for help and takes advice on board, using this as learning to help her further develop in her role.”

Congratulations to Matthew Dearsley, Registered Manager for eight of our Extra Care schemes in Somerset, on achieving his Level 5 Leader in Adult Care qualification, with Distinction across all Skills and Behaviours.

Having studied at University Centre Somerset, Matthew celebrated his achievement at a graduation ceremony at Wells Cathedral. It was a proud moment, recognising the hard work and commitment involved in completing his qualification alongside his responsibilities across eight schemes.

Balancing study with a busy leadership role takes dedication. Matthew’s achievement reflects his commitment to developing his skills, supporting his teams and making a positive difference for the people who live in our Extra Care schemes.

Reflecting on his experience, Matthew said:

“Today I’m incredibly proud to have graduated with my Level 5 Leader in Adult Care qualification, achieving Distinction across all Skills and Behaviours!

“This journey has strengthened my passion for leadership, developing others and making a positive difference in adult social care.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.

Anoja was recognised for her kindness, dedication and quick thinking during an emergency, helping someone she supports receive urgent medical attention.

Their family shared: “She deserves a million Employee of the Months and is a valued member of my family now. We love her with all our hearts.”

The team describe Anoja as hardworking, reliable and conscientious, always treating the people she supports with dignity, compassion and respect.

40 years in the making. One extraordinary story.

We’re incredibly excited to premiere our Agincare 40th anniversary film here on social media!

From one care home in Weymouth to one of the country’s largest independent, family-owned care providers, this film celebrates the people, memories and milestones that have shaped our journey.

It all began in 1986, when our Founder and Chairman, Derek Luckhurst, opened Agincourt Care Home. Four decades later, thousands of team members have helped turn that ambition into care and support that makes a difference to people across the country.

Featuring treasured family photographs, personal memories and heartfelt reflections from our team members, the film brings our story to life. There are achievements, challenges, plenty of laughter and some emotional moments along the way.

We gave guests a first look at our recent Agincare Heroes Awards 2026, where it was met with laughter, tears and an enormous sense of pride. Now, we can’t wait for you to see it too.

Congratulations to Procurement Officer Hannah Haynes on being crowned our Head Office Employee of the Month for October!

Hannah is approaching her first anniversary with Agincare and, in that relatively short time, has become an integral and highly valued member of our Procurement Team.

Since joining, Hannah has quickly taken ownership of several high-value contracts, demonstrating professionalism, commitment and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.

Through this she has built excellent relationships with key suppliers and across our nationwide care services, strengthening partnerships that deliver value across the organisation.

Drawing on her previous hospitality experience, Hannah has brought valuable knowledge and expertise to the role, putting her skills to use in ways that have made a real difference.

Hannah consistently demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Her hard work has made a lasting impression on both the Procurement Team and the wider organisation, making her a thoroughly deserving recipient of this recognition.
