Well what can we say.....

Another fine afternoon listening to The Squirrels playing for our residents..

We all need a little uplift, with encouragement when the going gets tough, and this trio of fine people provide memorable music and great craic.

We thank you all...The Squirrels, and the community for your support.

Yesterday at Home Farm we had a couple of very special people visit Home Farm....

Newly weds Mr.Iain & Mrs.Sarah Grant came to visit his grand mother Sheila Wilkie on their special day.

Such a lovely surprise for Sheila with the couple, and Sheilas' son Neil visiting from County Leitrim.

Thank you.

Congratulations to them both, wishing all happiness from Home Farm.

"A Life in a Day"...

Etta Corrigal.

Born in Uig Hospital, Snizort.

Mum was a very hard worker, she had 2 girls , Catriona and Etta the eldest. The family lived with their grand parents who managed The Uig Hotel.

Etta and the family moved to Wood Park and went to school in Portree, and really enjoyed High School.

School holidays were spent between her Auntie Jane in Dunvegan and Bearsden in Glasgow.

Etta didn't feel any urge to drive, neither did her sister Catriona.

Jobs: .Etta worked in the old Liptons Shop, then for Calum Gillies...the drapers which is now Boots Chemist.

She met Alfie her late husband who was a fisherman, and together they had 3 lovely sons...Thomas, Hamish and Neil.

Options. Etta wanted to be a nurse, looking after the elderly.

Likes: Walks, gardening and her favourite flowers are The Primrose and The Rose.
Etta enjoys TV Quiz shows, and really dislikes Women's TV shows like "Loose Women".

Attributes " Honesty, and frankness".
