Guess what day it is 😃 I love drop off day, just knowing someone is going to have a little surprise and hopefully make them smile, makes me happy ❤️

This drop off is for the Oncology Acute Ward at QA. When we did the massive 95 bag drop off a few weeks ago, the Acute Ward got missed out as so many patients were in Inpatients at the time and we didn’t want to miss any out.

Seeing as there was a little left over from Ann Wise’s donations, it seems fitting that this drop off is also in honour of this wonderful lady.

When I ask to take photos of the staff at hospital, I always get the same response “oh no, not one of me” but most people don’t see how pleased they are seeing me walking in with the bags for their patients. They see how low patients can get, how unheard and isolated they get and a little surprise like a care bag makes ALL the difference to their patients.

Monday sees me dropping 15 more to the Acute Ward and then I’m looking for sponsors for my next 40 for the Outpatients Ward - can you help raise the spirits of not just the patients but the staff too ❤️

So tonight saw Smart Enterprises partner with Ethan's Helping Hands 💛 These care bags are put together for parents who have children going through treatment at the Oncology Ward.

Kat contacted me when she saw my care bag project and had her own initiative in mind as she herself had gone through the worst journey you can imagine as a parent.

Same concept, reaching those who need to know someone is thinking of them when they don’t have time to think of themselves.

I LOVE drop off day and tonight was made even more special as it was the start of something new.

Since January, our amazing community has helped deliver over 300 care bags to local cancer patients, raising more than £10,000 along the way. Every single bag reminds someone facing treatment that they are not alone.

Behind the scenes, I’m working on exciting plans but these things take time and I don't want the deliveries to the hospital to stop while we wait.

I love making people feel valued, and seen, loved and thought of when having to go through what will probably be the hardest journey they will ever face.

I’ve been super fortunate to have been gifted 15 wigs for anyone who needs them. Unfortunately due to health and safety reasons hospitals can’t take them for patients directly but I can hand them out to anyone who might need them! If you know of anyone who is in need of a wig, please do not hesitate to contact me and I’ll do the rest. They’re completely free to the people that need them the most ❤️
