Gardening and time in nature can support our physical health, mental wellbeing and sense of connection. We are looking for volunteers to join us in caring for and developing our GP surgery garden. All ages including families are welcome for a free school holiday activity so long as under 16's are with a responsible adult. Bring tools and gloves if you have them but don't worry if not. We will meet every Tuesday in August at 1pm outside the main entrance, Dr Hopkins will be there.

About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to support the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at Over Wyre Medical Centre.
The successful candidate will be employed by Tracy Langton Cleaning Services and will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and compliant healthcare environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas in line with agreed schedules
Ensure all areas meet CQC standards and NHS infection prevention and control (IPC) requirements
Clean and disinfect:

Consultation and treatment rooms
Waiting areas and reception
Offices and staff areas
Toilets and high-touch surfaces

Safely handle and store cleaning materials and equipment
Follow all health & safety procedures, including COSHH guidance
Maintain cleaning records and support audit processes to demonstrate compliance

Standards & Compliance
The role requires adherence to:

Care Quality Commission (CQC) cleanliness standards
NHS Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) guidelines
Practice-specific cleaning protocols and schedules
Participation in routine cleaning audits and documentation

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards is essential.

About You
We are looking for someone who:

Is reliable, trustworthy and takes pride in their work
Has previous cleaning experience (healthcare setting desirable but not essential)
Understands the importance of hygiene in a clinical environment
Is able to work independently and follow procedures
Has a flexible and positive approach
