We're delighted to invite residents, families, friends and our local community to an afternoon of Wild West Country & Western fun at The Anchorage Summer Fayre.

Today has been such a lovely day at The Anchorage. Daisy and Freya brought so much joy and energy into the home and it was wonderful to see everyone smiling and joining in. They were both absolutely brilliant with the residents, bringing their gentle nature and bright personalities into every moment. The handmade tree project was a real highlight and we have so much more to share with this project….

We also had some very special one‑to‑one time with residents, sharing stories, cuddles with our little dachshund friend, and plenty of laughter. Days like this remind us how powerful connection is and how much happiness it brings into our home.

Thank you to everyone who made today feel so full of life. We are very lucky to have such a caring community around us. 💗🌳🐾

It was the second Tuesday of the month which can only mean one thing. Dementia Café at Pulborough Village Hall. This month we kept things simple with gentle chair exercises followed by a calming meditation session. The views made the whole experience feel refreshing and everyone commented on how uplifting it was.

After our session we enjoyed friendly conversation over cakes. Today’s treat was homemade scones with jam and clotted cream and they were absolutely delicious.

We would love to welcome you next month. Dementia Café runs on the second Tuesday of every month at Pulborough Village Hall from 10.30 until noon. Everyone is welcome and there is always companionship, warmth and plenty of cake.

Fun, laughter and togetherness have filled The Anchorage over the past few days. Our home has been alive with joy, activity and connection, and it has created the most wonderful atmosphere for our residents and team.

We enjoyed a beautiful visit from the children, bringing that special intergenerational magic that always lifts spirits. Their giggles, curiosity and bright energy filled every corner of the home and created moments our residents will treasure. Watching those interactions reminds us how powerful simple human connection can be.

Our fabulous hairdresser spent time pampering residents, offering fresh trims, new styles and those uplifting conversations that make people feel valued and confident. A good hair day truly brings a sparkle to the whole home.

Our lifestyle team have continued to shine with their creativity and dedication. Chair exercises kept everyone moving. A touch of My Fair Lady brought nostalgia and smiles. Bingo brought excitement and friendly competition. Baking beer bread and making beer hummus filled the home with delicious aromas and fun. Singing and dancing with Elvis added that unforgettable joy that always gets everyone involved.

We are blessed at The Anchorage. Blessed with our residents, blessed with our families, blessed with our team and blessed with a community that grows stronger and happier every day. 💙
