A 22-year-old is bitten on the lower leg by a known venomous spider while hiking. They remain alert but are complaining of increasing pain around the bite site.

What should be your priority before attending the Emergency Department?

👍 Wash the bite and apply ice.

❤️ Apply a firm compression bandage, immobilise the limb and remain calm.

😮 Suck the venom out.

😂 Cut the bite open to drain the venom.
