乳癌是女性最常見的癌症。你因此大機會認識到一個曾經被診斷乳癌的人。

定期進行乳房自我檢查非常重要，收到NHS乳癌篩查邀請信後，請預約乳房X光檢查。

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. You are likely to know of someone who was diagnosed with it.

It is therefore really important to self check your own breasts regularly and book your mammogram when you receive an invitation letter from the NHS.

您聽過英國新推出的HPV家庭自測採樣套裝嗎？

對於那些因各種原因推遲在GP診所預約子宮頸抹片檢查的人來說，這是個好消息。

這個檢測套裝可讓您自行進行採樣，檢測是否感染HPV病毒。 HPV是子宮頸癌的主要致病因子之一。

如果檢測結果呈陽性，醫生會建議您預約子宮頸抹片檢查。

這項檢測並不能取代傳統的子宮頸抹片檢查，因為如果HPV檢測呈陽性，傳統的子宮頸抹片檢查還會檢查子宮頸是否有異常細胞。然而，這項檢測可以讓那些很久沒做子宮頸抹片檢查的女性在家中進行更私密的自測，從而識別出哪些人需要進一步評估。

Have you heard of the new home self swab test kit for HPV in UK?

This is good news for those who has delayed booking in for a smear test at their GP surgery for various reasons.

The test kit enables you to do a self swab to test for HPV, a leading cause of cervical cancer.
If tested positive, you will be advised to book for a smear test.

This does not replace the traditional smear test which will also look for abnormal cells of the cervix if HPV is tested positive. It will however enable the group of women who are long overdue for a smear test to take a more discrete test by themselves in their own home and identify those who should have further assessment.
