Ayurveda has been helping people restore balance and wellbeing for thousands of years, and it's something I'm deeply passionate about.
One of the things I love most about Ayurveda is that it recognises we're all unique. What works for one person may not work for another, which is why every treatment I offer is personalised to your dosha, your current health concerns, any imbalances you're experiencing and your stage of life.
The herb infused medicated oils I use are far more than a massage medium. They are an essential part of the treatment itself, carefully selected with therapeutic intention and traditionally prepared according to Ayurvedic pharmacopeia and Indian medical standards. These oils are designed to nourish the body's seven tissues (dhatus), supporting health and balance at a deep level.
Depending on your individual needs, Ayurvedic treatments can help ease muscle and joint discomfort, reduce stiffness, support digestion, calm and nourish the nervous system, and provide valuable support through hormonal changes such as perimenopause and menopause.
I also incorporate specialised Marma therapy, along with Ayurvedic facial and head treatments, using nourishing oils and gentle techniques to encourage deep relaxation, improve circulation, support the nervous system and leave your skin looking naturally healthy and radiant.
For those needing deeper muscular support, Pinda Sweda uses warm herbal poultices to soothe tired, stiff and aching muscles. Traditionally, this therapy is also believed to help reduce excess heat and inflammation within the tissues.
As a bodyworker, I combine these traditional Ayurvedic principles with my experience and hands on understanding of the body, adapting every treatment to what I feel your body needs on the day.
While many people feel more relaxed after a single session, Ayurveda is best viewed as an ongoing wellness practice rather than a one off treatment. With regular care and consistency, it can help support long term balance, resilience and overall wellbeing.
Sometimes the oldest traditions really do have the most to offer. ✨
