This customer came in today after wanting a change in her style for quite some time.
The weight shifted from the bottom to the top which is always more flattering for the face and stops your style making you look like you have a wide chin and neck (a common factor when Curly haired people get a haircut from straight hairdressers!)

Often when we start seeing the dreaded grey hairs, the instinct is to go lighter and blend them with blonde.
This client went that route, only to realise that they were in fact only grey around the front, and her regrowth actually comes in dark everywhere else!

I fixed this by doing a reverse balayage and root smudge where her dark regrowth was and leaving her greys completely alone! By dividing these areas carefully she will have a much more natural grow out, and we can always add a couple of highlights as new greys appear.

Sometimes I can make a new dog out of the hair I cut off a client and their hair still doesn’t look like it’s had loads cut off it.
This lady really needed layers in her done hair as it was all getting weighed down with product.
We fixed that, and amended the amount of product she used and voila ✨

I’ve know this girl since our daughters were in nursery class together and have seen her beautiful curls grow for the last 12 years and today it was my privilege to cut it for her.

She usually dry brushes it and rarely used products, but with some hair advice she feels likes she will be able to manage to maintain her curls and keep them juicy and defined.

She was surprised with how short it felt when it was hydrated but I explained that it was just shrinkage and when she shook it out it would back to it’s previous appearance, but in beautiful, defined layers.

She was delighted and can’t wait for her school friends to see it tomorrow!
