🌿 Lymphatic drainage supplements seem to be everywhere at the moment… so I decided to take a closer look.
As a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, I’m committed to making sure the advice I give my clients is evidence-informed. So, when these products started appearing all over my social media feed, I spent some time researching the ingredients and looking at what the current evidence actually says.
Here’s what I found…
💚 There isn’t currently strong evidence that the popular “lymph detox” drops improve lymphatic drainage or flush toxins from the body.
💚 There is better evidence to support approaches such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, gentle movement, diaphragmatic breathing and, in some cases, specific supplements that support healthy circulation rather than claiming to “detox” your lymphatic system.
💚 If you’re experiencing heavy, tired legs, fluid retention, menopause-related puffiness or you’re living with lipoedema, there’s rarely one magic solution. The best results usually come from combining the right therapies with practical home care and lifestyle support.
One of the things I love most about my job is helping people understand what really works, so they can make informed choices rather than spending money on products that may not deliver what they promise.
If you’ve been wondering whether Manual Lymphatic Drainage could help you, or you’re unsure which supplements are actually worth considering, I’d be happy to chat or book you in for a consultation to discuss what’s most appropriate for your individual needs.
