Are you looking to gain new skills, build confidence, or meet new people through volunteering? Come to the East Surrey Volunteer Fair on Saturday 26 September, 11am to 3pm at the Belfry shopping centre in Redhill to connect with local organisations and find out about opportunities to suit a wide range of interests, experience levels and availability.

The event brings together local charities, community groups and voluntary organisations and is hosted by Voluntary Action Surrey East n partnership with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and Tandridge District Council.

🎶 Engaging Voices – everyone is welcome

Our friendly monthly choir brings people together through singing, with a particular welcome for those experiencing memory difficulties, their families and carers.

📅 Our next session is Friday 4th September at 12.30pm.

No experience is needed – just come along and enjoy singing together.

Exam results can bring a real mix of emotions for young people and their families. 💙

A useful reminder from the NHS that results don’t define you, along with advice on how to support a young person who may be disappointed or worried about their results.

Remember, whatever the outcome today, your results don't define you!

If you know someone who has received their A level or BTEC results, it can be a good idea to find out how they might be feeling – and how you can support them if needed.

☀️ An amber heat-health alert is in place across parts of England until 14 August.

During an amber alert, hot weather can put more people’s health at risk – not just those who are usually more vulnerable.

Older people, young children and people with existing health conditions may be particularly at risk.

Please take extra care in the heat and check in on friends, family or neighbours who may struggle in hot weather.
