Injured in a car crash on 31st May 1999 I suffered a brachial plexus injury which saw me lose the use of my right hand, arm and have little to no use of my right upper arm and shoulder. Professor Oscar Aszmann performed multiple muscle and nerve transplants with the hope of me regaining some shoulder and upper arm movement and strength. It was a success and with the regular exercise I have continued to do I have more movement and strength than it was ever thought possible. In January 2017 one of the top reconstructive surgeons in the UK Dr Norbet Kang agreed to amputate my limp useless right hand and he also performed a ligament transfer with the hope that I would have a greater range of movement when externally rotating the arm. I have raised back up to £12,000 and need to raise a further £18,000 so that I can have the bebionic prosthesis that you can see me practicing in my videos. As well as going through the above I have been busy training and competing in Triathlons, half marathons & 10K's. I have now been invited to the Tri4Tokyo Paralympic classifications in November with the hope of being in the Paratriathlete team. I'm proud of myself for turning a life changing accident into a positive and fulfilling life experience. Thank you for taking the time to read my page, please share and like andif possible donate.
