As authorised volunteers for YAS, Community First Responders form teams located in communities across Yorkshire as part of a wider initiative which aims to help reduce the number o

f pre-hospital deaths in Yorkshire. New recruits will join hundreds of volunteers living in local communities across the region who are trained to provide life-saving treatment to residents in their area in the vital first minutes of an emergency until our ambulance clinicians arrive. YAS is committed to providing the high quality services to and care to all those living in, or passing through, Yorkshire and this initiative undoubtedly helps to achieve this. North Yorkshire

I genuinely love all my scheme meetings with my volunteers, however when there is cake it does make it better.

Celebrating 10 years of the scheme

Started by founder member David Cundell who has also been the coordinator for all that time.

The scheme has also done multiple years with a CFR bag on every day.

Sadly not all could be there tonight, but we had a great productive meeting.

Today the Northallerton CFR team is 10 years old.

A big thank you to all team members past and present and to everyone in YAS who has helped us along the way.

This Scheme has worked hard over the past few years to ensure they have had a bag log on everyday.

Our areas recruitment TRAC closes at midnight on the 27th August 26.

If you have requested the Link, this is a gentle reminder that applications must be submitted prior to this time.

If you are still thinking of applying, but not ready yet! our new link will open in September and close on the 30th of September.

If you have a link now, this will not work for next month and you would need to request a new one.

Looking forward to inductions this month with 10 volunteers coming forward to see what its all about and hopefully joining us in the North.

With 3 days left until Summer recruitment closes, make sure you have time to complete TRAC.

You need to send an interest request first, to then be sent the TRAC application.

Induction evening is planned for Wed 9th Sept, 1800 -2000 however we can accommodate other dates If necessary.

Please checkout the the Process, because if you're thinking I don't have time until after Oct to commit, this recruitment would not be trained until at lest Novembers training course at the earliest.

With it being the summer holidays, our July recruitment campaign has been rolled over into August and will close on 27 August.

We currently have 9 applications for North, North Yorkshire and The Yorkshire Dales, and I am looking forward to shortlisting candidates and finding out which areas these new volunteers will be supporting.

However, we still need Community First Responders (CFRs) in the following areas:

📍 Redmire
Residents from villages between Hawes and Redmire are welcome to join these schemes.

📍Richmond NY
📍Skeeby
📍Hudswell
Residents from surrounding villages of Richmond are welcome to join these schemes.

📍Scorton
📍Cowton
📍Brompton-on-Swale
📍Catterick Village
Residents from villages between Scorton and Catterick Village are welcome to join these schemes.

📍 RAF Leeming
📍 Gatenby
📍 Masham
Residents from villages between Masham and Bedale are welcome to join this scheme.
