Acre Homecare

Acre Homecare We believe in care that involves our Clients and works with them to make sure they are confident that our Carers are acting in their best interest.

Acre Homecare is a Domiciliary Care provider based in the Rochdale area that ensures quality care is supplied to our Clients so they are left feeling safe, secure and supported in their own homes. We achieve this by ensuring all our Carers match the high expectations we have set for ourselves through a rigorous selection process, and by consulting with our Clients on a personal level before we beg

in delivering Care. Acre Homecare was founded in 2022 by Gill Nelson and James Guy. James and Gill have known each other and have previously worked together on and off for 15 years in the Rochdale area. Following the pandemic, we identified a need for local services delivered by a Rochdale organisation. Our experiences through one of social careโ€™s most difficult periods showed us that local communities are best serviced by organisations with local experience, staff and skills.

๐ŸŒ World Hepatitis Day

Today, we join people around the world in raising awareness of viral hepatitis and the importance of prevention, testing, treatment, and access to the right healthcare and support.

World Hepatitis Day is an opportunity to increase understanding, challenge stigma, and encourage conversations that can help people make informed decisions about their health.

Greater awareness can make a real difference. By sharing trusted information and encouraging people to seek appropriate advice and testing when needed, we can all play a part in supporting healthier communities.

Our brains play a vital role in every aspect of daily lifeโ€”from our thoughts and memories to our movement, communication, and overall wellbeing.

This World Brain Day, we recognise the importance of raising awareness about brain health and supporting people living with neurological conditions. Looking after our brains through regular physical activity, a balanced diet, quality sleep, social connection, and lifelong learning can all contribute to better brain health.

World Brain Day is also an opportunity to learn more about brain health and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to the support and care they need. You can find out more here:

This July, we recognise Disability Pride Monthโ€”a time to celebrate the individuality, strengths, talents, and contributions of disabled people while promoting inclusion, understanding, and equal opportunities for everyone.

Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. By listening, valuing individual choices, and creating inclusive communities, we can help ensure that people of all abilities are supported to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Disability Pride Month also encourages us to reflect on the importance of removing barriers and fostering a society where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Care That Puts You First

Everyone has their own preferences, routines, goals, and way of living. That's why person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do.

Person-centred care means taking the time to understand each individual, listening to what matters most, and providing support that reflects their unique needs, choices, and aspirations.

Whether it's assistance with daily living, companionship, or more specialised support, care should always be delivered with dignity, respect, and compassionโ€”empowering people to remain as independent as possible while living life on their own terms.

Because great care isn't just about meeting needsโ€”it's about supporting the person behind them.

Companionship Makes Every Day Brighter

Sometimes, the greatest gift we can offer is our time.

Companionship Care is about building meaningful relationships, sharing conversations, and enjoying everyday moments together. Whether it's a cup of tea, a walk in the local park, a shopping trip, or simply spending time with someone who cares, companionship can help reduce feelings of loneliness and support overall wellbeing.

Everyone deserves to feel connected, valued, and supported. With compassionate companionship, we help people continue enjoying the activities they love while remaining comfortable and independent in their own homes.

If you or a loved one could benefit from companionship and support, we'd be happy to help.
