🌿 **What if someone keeps using you as their therapist?**

There’s a difference between being there for someone and becoming the person they constantly rely on to process every emotion, crisis and problem.

You can care deeply about someone and still recognise when the emotional weight of the relationship is becoming too much.

You don’t have to:
• Always be available
• Solve their problems
• Talk them through every crisis
• Put your own feelings aside to support theirs
• Become responsible for their emotional wellbeing

Sometimes caring for someone means saying:

**“I care about you, but I don’t have the capacity to hold this for you right now.”**

Healthy relationships have space for both people.

And if you find yourself constantly feeling drained, responsible, or like you’re carrying someone else’s emotions, it might be time to look at where your boundaries are.

**Being supportive doesn’t mean becoming someone’s therapist.** 💚

🔥 **Anger is an emotion, not a bad behaviour.**

We often learn that anger is something to control, suppress or be ashamed of.

But anger is there for a reason.

Sometimes it tells us that a boundary has been crossed.
Sometimes we feel unheard, disrespected or overwhelmed.
Sometimes anger is protecting sadness, hurt, fear or exhaustion underneath.

The important part isn’t whether we feel angry — **it’s what we do with it.**

We can acknowledge our anger without allowing it to hurt ourselves or others. We can pause, breathe, understand what’s underneath it and choose how we respond.

You’re allowed to feel angry.
You’re also responsible for how you express it. 🌿

**Maybe instead of asking, “Why am I so angry?” we could sometimes ask, “What is my anger trying to tell me?”**

How is it Friday again?🙃

🌸 **Thursday = Self-Care Day 🌸**

The kids are going back to school… which means it’s officially time to put **ME** back on the list. 😂🙌

After the school runs, routines, homework, meals, laundry and all the general chaos of summer, I think we deserve a little reset too. ❤️

Self-care doesn’t have to mean spa days and expensive treats. Sometimes it’s simply having a quiet cup of coffee ☕, going for a walk, taking a long shower, reading a few pages, watching something you enjoy, or just sitting in peace for five minutes without someone shouting *“Muuuum!”* from another room. 😂

So this Thursday, let’s remember:

✨ The kids can go back to school.
✨ The routine can start again.
✨ The house might finally be a little quieter.
✨ And **you deserve some time for yourself too.** 💕

What’s one little thing you’re going to do for **YOU** this Thursday? 🌷

🌱 **As my children grow…** 🌱

With the summer slowly coming to an end and my children getting ready to go back to school, I’ve found myself reflecting on how quickly they are growing up.

There’s something bittersweet about watching your children become more independent. You feel proud of the people they are becoming, while also quietly missing the little versions of them that once needed you for everything.

As a counsellor, I often talk about change, transitions and the emotions that can come with them. But being a parent reminds me that knowing something professionally doesn’t mean we don’t feel it personally. We can understand change and still find it difficult.

Perhaps that’s the reminder I need too: **we don’t have to rush through the feelings that come with each new chapter.**

We can be proud, grateful, emotional, excited… sometimes all at the same time. 💚

They’re growing up — and so am I, alongside them. 🌿

✨ **Two Years of Private Practice!** ✨

Today marks **2 years since I started working in my private counselling practice**, and honestly, I feel incredibly proud and grateful. 💛

When I first started, I had no idea where this journey would take me. There have been challenges, plenty of learning, moments of self-doubt, and lots of growth — both professionally and personally.

But most importantly, I’ve had the privilege of sitting alongside so many wonderful people as they navigate some of the most difficult moments in their lives. Being trusted with someone’s story is something I never take for granted. 🫶

Two years on, I’m still learning, still growing, and still passionate about what I do. I’m so proud of the practice I’ve built and excited about what the future holds. 🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way — clients, colleagues, friends, family, and everyone who has recommended my services or simply shared one of my posts. It genuinely means so much. ❤️

Here’s to **two years of private practice — and hopefully many more to come!** 🥂✨

🌱 **We all grow differently.**

You don’t have to be where someone else is.

Your journey has its own timeline. Your progress may be quiet, slow, or invisible to others — but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Sometimes growth is a huge change.
Sometimes it’s simply choosing yourself again. ❤️

**Stop comparing your chapter to someone else’s.**

Grow at your own pace. 🌿
