We’ve been chilling with a word search, playing games in the garden and cooling down with some much-needed ice lollies! 🍭☀️🌿 We even had a visit from our lovely hairdresser, so there were fresh haircuts and smiles all round! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️✨

A Wonderful Staff & Resident Appreciation Day at Victoria House 💙

We were delighted to host a special Appreciation Day for our wonderful staff and residents at Victoria House.

It was a privilege to recognise members of our team for their incredible long service and dedication, with some celebrating almost 30 years of providing love, care and support to those who call Victoria House home. Their commitment and compassion are truly inspiring, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

We were also pleased to welcome family and friends to join us for the celebrations. The afternoon was made even more special with entertainment from our favourite performer, Maurice, who had everyone singing, dancing and smiling while we enjoyed a refreshing Pimm’s in the sunshine.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. Here’s to celebrating the amazing people who make Victoria House such a special place to live and work. ❤️

There’s a real buzz around Victoria House this evening! 🇬🇧⚽

While some of our lovely ladies enjoyed a relaxing pamper session and had their nails done, all of our residents have been getting into the match day spirit and are now settled in together, ready to cheer on England.

It’s wonderful to see everyone enjoying each other’s company, sharing the excitement and making memories together.

What a fantastic weekend we’ve had at Victoria House! ☀️🍓🎾

Our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the garden sipping refreshing Pimm’s while tucking into delicious strawberries and cream and fresh fruit as we watched the excitement of Wimbledon together.

There were plenty of cheers as we celebrated England’s brilliant win – what a game! ⚽🏆

To top it all off, we kept everyone moving with some fun music and exercise sessions, filled with smiles, laughter and lots of energy.

Weekends like these create wonderful memories and remind us how important it is to enjoy every moment together. ❤️

Laughter really is the best medicine! 😄

Terry couldn’t wait to try on the granny pants for one of the activities, and it certainly had everyone smiling! We love it when our amazing team get involved, have a laugh, and make special moments alongside our residents. 💙

The fun didn’t stop there – we’ve also been getting into the football spirit by decorating for the England World Cup! ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

🍦☀️ What a perfect day for an ice cream van visit!

Thank you Wight Ices for making our day more bearable!

On what has been the hottest day of the year so far, we certainly felt every bit of it today.

As we continue through the red alert heatwave, additional shifts have been put in place to ensure our residents remain safe, comfortable and well hydrated, with extra drink rounds and plenty of ice lollies being offered throughout the day.

A huge shout out to our amazing team who are working incredibly hard in these very challenging temperatures. Your dedication and care do not go unnoticed.

Today was filled with smiles, ice creams, lollies, and a visit from the wonderful Maurice (who also joined us for a ice cream!)– a lovely way to keep spirits high despite the heat! 🍦
