A lovely review from an amazing mum who is doing brilliantly with her feeding.

"Steph was amazing! I was really worried after a terrible feeding experience with my first baby, however Steph reassured me and supported my both before and after the birth of my daughter. We had a really rocky start at the beginning, but Steph’s ongoing support has meant that she is now breast feeding on demand and thriving!
Would highly recommend!
Thanks for everything ### "

Breastfeeding advice....

Pain is just part of breastfeeding

LOSE IT!!!

While it can feel tender in the very first days, pain generally means that something isnt quite right. This might be a shallow latch, positioning or even oral restrictions.

Reach out for support if you're experiencing pain breastfeeding.

My first 6 week holiday at home with my kids

Usually it would be a mix of holiday clubs, grandparents, or mine and hubby's day off.

But this year I've been able to spend everyday with my beautiful girls.

It's been both amazing and exhausting, day trips, camping adventures, crafty days, days on the couch... And then a much needed spa break just the grown ups...

While also squeezing in some evening work 😴

Not gona lie, looking forward to a break tomorrow!

Wonder what September will bring??

Feeding doesn’t have to be perfect to be going well

Some feeds will feel easier than others. Some days you’ll feel confident and other days you might question everything.

Instead of asking yourself, “Am I doing this perfectly?”

Try asking:

"What would help feeding feel just a little easier for me today?"

Preparing to breastfeed?

My antenatal breastfeeding sessions are a little different from a traditional class.

We spend the time talking about you, your baby and what you’d like feeding to look like.

Your session is completely bespoke and takes place in the comfort of your own home, so there’s plenty of time to ask questions, talk through any worries and focus on the things that actually matter to you.

We can cover things like:

What to expect in the first hours and days
How breastfeeding works
Positioning and attachmentHow to know your baby is getting enough milk
What’s normal and when to ask for support
Expressing, bottles and combination feeding if they’re part of your plans
How your partner can support you
Your own feeding goals, questions or previous experiences

Afterwards, I’ll also send you carefully curated resources so you have useful, evidence based information to come back to once your baby arrives rather than trying to remember everything from one session.

You'll also have text support to ask follow up questions or advice until baby arrives and priority booking for postnatal support.

The aim isn’t to tell you there’s one “right” way to feed your baby.

It’s to help you understand your options, feel prepared and go into those first few days with much more confidence.

Breastfeeding advice....

A new born should feed every 3-4 hours

LOSE IT!!!

Newborns should be fed responsively, feeding them when they show early feeding cues

Ideally aiming for between 8-12 feeds, roughly every 2-3 hours.

Watch your baby not the clock, this doesn't mean they will go 2-3 hours, they could want to feed any amount of time from their last feed.

Not sure if the frequency of your newborns feed is normal... Reach out for support

Don't worry if your feeding journey looks different from others or how you planned. All feeding is valid, if you need su...

Newborn struggling to poo?

Seems like they're in pain, which isn't nice to look at and you'd do anything to help them ( cue things like medication or bicycle legs)

What if I told you this is really normal and is part of them learning?

My sessions can help reassure you about what is normal baby behavior.
