UPDATE ON BABY K

Baby was reviewed yesterday at Korlebu by the gastro specialist. She is having dietetian input to uptimise her weight and reserves before any survical intervention.

She does look a lot better and is responding to new dietary intake.
Her PEG has been reviewed amd fund raised have been used to purchase new dressings to facilitate wound healing.

She has been seen by medical team and dietitian and will see surgeon.
Out of £175 recieved.
£100 (Gh¢1500) was sent to facilitate treatment. Gh¢110 spent so far and £75 via gofundme not accessed.

❤️ BABY K DESERVES A CHANCE TO LIVE, GROW & THRIVE ❤️

At just 8 months old, Baby K has already faced more than any child should.

We met her during one of our BLS awareness and training sessions in Ghana. She was tiny, extremely frail and painfully thin — being carried by a caregiver who had stepped forward to care for her after her biological mother reportedly left because of the overwhelming challenges of caring for a child with complex medical needs.

Baby K was born with Oesophageal Atresia and Tracheoesophageal Fistula (TEF), a serious condition affecting her ability to feed normally.

She had a gastrostomy with PEG placement shortly after birth, but when we saw her, we became deeply concerned about her feeding and nutrition.

She is struggling. And she needs us now.
We are raising GHS 10,000 to help Baby K access:

❤️ Urgent specialist medical review
❤️ Proper assessment and management of her feeding tube
❤️ Nutritional support
❤️ Essential medical supplies
❤️ Appropriate medical and surgical care
❤️ Support for the caregiver caring for her

Baby K’s condition is not a death sentence. There is hope.
But hope needs action. And action needs support.

Meeting Baby K Has Been Life Changing,

This Innocent Baby That Is Meant To Be 8 Months Old Appears No More Than A Month old. This Heartbreaking Situation Is Due To A Congenital Condition Called Oesogeal Atresia with fistula Which Leads Her To Have Trouble Feeding. Making Her Malnourished And Smaller Then Her Peers.

But Baby K’s story doesn’t have to end in suffering. 🙏🏽
