✨ Make Birth Better Summit 2026 ✨

I often get asked “aren’t you tired of hearing about birth trauma?” and my answer is always “no”. I get tired of hearing statistics however as a woman, mother and therapist - I will never tire because I want to know what actions we are taking, what change we are creating, what I can do more of 🤍

Thank you to the whole team!!
And shoutout to for holding space for anyone who might have needed it.

A day of learning, reflection and community.

& all of the incredible speakers 🫶🏽

Thank you for the workshops 🙌🏽

And it was so lovely to chat with and so many wonderful women 🤍

I know it’s a bit of a long post but this is just a subset of individuals and organisations doing their part - and together, gosh … think about it 🙌🏽🙌🏽

And finally - I never remember to take pictures 😂 please tell me I’m not the only one?!

I spent a lot of May looking up at the sky above … during my therapy sessions for “thoughts as clouds” exercise, practising mindfulness, being present and just appreciating the blue skies.

May was a month.

I’m not very good at remembering to take pictures but I was very grateful to be invited to do some lovely things and be surrounded by incredible people like:
✨ joining to talk about Maternal Mental Health Week
✨ being part of the panel at first Black & Brown Fertility Show
✨ hosting a wellness session at Restorative Retreat
✨ meeting some mamas and their little ones at
✨ and loved attending with my fave

And getting to do what I love:
🤍 the clients I work with
🤍 the supervisees I support
🤍 learning w/ and

To be honest, it was a tough month so I chose to be intentional and take it extra easy when I can - resting, self-care, baking, listening to soca and leaning into community 🪴 - as mental health awareness month comes to a close just remember to keep meeting each other with kindness and compassion.

Sending you all good vibes for June ☀️

Hello May 👋🏽

Hello to brighter and longer evenings. Choosing to be intentional. Leaning into joy. Practising self-compassion. Making room for all the feelings.

This month I’m really looking forward to:
🤍being part of the conversation about mental health with
🧘🏽‍♀️joining restorative retreat
💖 meeting some mamas and their babies to talk about motherhood
📖intentionally carving out time to finish reading ‘Black Men, Trauma & Therapy’
👩🏽‍🏫learning with and
🫶🏽working together with my clients (the thing that matters most to me)

Sending you all good intentions and good vibes as you move through May ✌🏽

Warmly,
Daniella

HOPEFUL … that’s the word I would use to describe the past week ✨

Last weekend and spent the weekend reflecting and planning and I walked away feeling refreshed and inspired.

And during the week I connected with some beautiful people in different ways:
🎉celebrating endings with 2 clients
👋🏽welcoming 2 new clients
🍽️having lunch w/
🫶🏽having a chat w/ .pilates.uk
🤱🏽holding space for weekly session
👩🏽‍💻learning w/
☕️catching up w/
🤍attending Justice in Therapy
🇹🇹dinner w/ friends

And what a week of sunshine, Black Maternal Health & Allergy Awareness 🤍

It is never lost on me that the work always begins with ourselves - and how important it is to hold hold AND do the work to create change so things will get better✨

What’s one word for your week?

23/04/2026

I took a moment to reflect on why diagnosis matters as part of Allergy Awareness Week ✨

Not everything on social media is accurate, so I thought I’d share some incredible people and organisations in the allergy community🤍 The more we know, the better we can do together 🫶🏽

And for support, I want you to know you don’t have to navigate this alone. While I offer psychological support, here are 3 other incredible women who provide support:

My reflection as we lean into Black Maternal Health Week here in the U.K. ✨

Like Buju Banton, I am hopeful that one day things must get better. But the only way we get there is through action - creating meaningful change together.

This is not just a week, this is not just a black women and birthing people problem, it’s not confined to physical health - it includes mental health.

Thankful for organisations like for the dedicated work they do for black women and birthing people.

For clinicians, have a read of ‘Black Women, Trauma & Therapy’
