A huge thank you to Good Morning Britain for visiting Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home this morning to discuss the vital issue of Social Care Reform – an important subject that is rightly at the top of the national news agenda.
We were proud to hear from Chika, one of our dedicated Saint Cecilia's Team Leaders and Caroline, a family member of one of our residents, as they shared their honest experiences and perspectives on the realities of care today.
Our Chairman, Mike Padgham, also highlighted the significant challenges facing the sector, from the growing pressures on care providers to the increasing financial burden many families are facing.
Social care touches the lives of millions of people across the UK, and meaningful reform is long overdue. We are grateful for the opportunity to help keep this vital conversation in the national spotlight and to give a voice to those working in, relying on, and supporting the care sector every day.
Also, a special thanks to Louise at Wilson's Food Hall for supplying fresh coffees and delicious food!
The conversation doesn't stop there...
Today we've also spoken with the Yorkshire Post, BBC Radio 5 Live, and The Times, and we'll be continuing the discussion later this evening on BBC Look North. Together, we hope to keep raising awareness of the urgent need for lasting social care reform.
