🇮🇳✨ A TASTE OF INDIA… WITH A LITTLE BRITISH BBQ TWIST! ✨🇮🇳

Well, the British weather had other ideas for us today! 🌧️😂 We were all ready for our BBQ, but unfortunately the weather didn’t quite hold up — although that certainly wasn’t going to stop us enjoying the food! 🍔🌭

So we brought the BBQ indoors and our residents enjoyed burgers and sausages, served with potatoes, fresh salad and homemade coleslaw. 🥗🥔🍔

Then for tea, we continued our Armchair Travel to India 🇮🇳❤️ and gave our residents a lovely taste of Indian cuisine!

On the menu was vegetable samosas, colourful vegetable rice, naan bread, cooling raita and chutney, followed by something sweet. 😋🌶️🥘

And of course, no trip to India would be complete without trying a creamy mango lassi! 🥭🥛 Our kitchen prepared plenty so everyone could have a taste.

We absolutely love using food as part of our armchair travels — giving our residents the opportunity to experience different flavours, talk about different countries and cultures, and try something they may not have had before. 🌍❤️

The weather might have changed our plans, but it certainly didn’t spoil our day! 🥰

Today we gathered together outside Gresham Lodge to say goodbye to a very special Lady who is no longer with us. ❤️🌹🌹🌹
It was a truly touching moment shared by staff and families. As we stood together in silence, the sky seemed to cry with us for a little while as the rain fell, but soon afterwards the sun appeared, bringing warmth and comfort to everyone present.

Saying goodbye is an important part of remembering and celebrating a life well lived. Moments like these mean so much, not only to the staff who had the privilege of caring for this lovely lady, but also to her family. Together, we shared memories, reflected on happy times, and honoured the special place she will always hold in our hearts.

At Gresham Lodge, we are more than a care home – we are one big family, supporting one another through both joyful and difficult times. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. ❤️ 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

🍽️❤️ MIDWEEK ROAST AT GRESHAM LODGE ❤️🍽️

Who says you have to wait until Sunday for a roast? 😋 Today at Gresham Lodge our residents tucked into a delicious midweek roast dinner with all the trimmings! 🥔🥕🥬

On the menu was roast meat, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, roast and mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, stuffing and plenty of gravy — a proper comforting home-cooked meal! 😍

And there’s always room for pudding… 🍰 Our residents enjoyed a lovely cheesecake with cream, while our residents with diabetes had their own diabetic-friendly pudding served with sugar-free cream, ensuring nobody had to miss out on a sweet treat. ❤️

Another fantastic meal from our kitchen team, making sure choice and individual dietary needs are catered for while everyone gets to enjoy something delicious. 👩‍🍳👏

Because at Gresham Lodge, good food is about so much more than just what’s on the plate — it’s about choice, enjoyment and bringing people together. 🏡💕

A delicious homemade Tuesday lunch is being served at Gresham Lodge! ❤️
🥧 Shepherd’s Pie or Tuna Pasta Bake
🥕 Carrots, broccoli & crispy potatoes
🍌 Pudding: Banana & cinnamon sponge served with cream
🧁 Afternoon Treat: Delicious freshly baked vanilla muffins!
A lovely selection of comforting, homemade food for everyone to enjoy. 💕

🍽️❤️ GOOD FOOD FOR EVERYONE AT GRESHAM LODGE! ❤️🍽️

Yesterday’s lunch was another delicious home-cooked meal from our kitchen! 😋

Our residents enjoyed sausages in a lovely onion gravy, served with creamy mash, potatoes and vegetables, with a tasty vegetable stew and dumplings available as an alternative. 🌭🥔🥕🥦

And then came pudding… chocolate sponge and custard! 🍫🍰😍

But what makes us particularly proud is that dietary requirements don’t mean our residents have to miss out on the treats everyone else is enjoying. ❤️ Our kitchen also prepared a gluten-free chocolate sponge for our residents who require a gluten-free diet, as well as a diabetic-friendly cake for our residents with diabetes. 🍰✨

A huge shout-out to our superstar Head Chef, Nic! 🌟👩‍🍳 Nic has been busy making sure that every resident, regardless of their individual dietary requirements, can still enjoy the cakes, puddings and treats being served to everyone else.

It’s all about choice, inclusion and making sure nobody feels like they’re missing out. 🥰

🎨💕 GETTING BBQ READY AT GRESHAM LODGE! 💕🎨

Yesterday our residents got creative and helped us prepare for our BBQ later this week! ☀️🍔🌭

The afternoon was spent colouring, decorating and completing our handmade bunting, with everyone adding their own special touch ready to brighten up the home for the big day. ✏️🎨💗

It was lovely to see our residents getting involved in the preparations — activities like this aren’t just about the finished product, they’re about spending time together, keeping busy, having a chat and enjoying being part of something. 🥰

We also managed to squeeze in a little pamper time, because there’s always time for a bit of TLC at Gresham Lodge! 💇‍♀️💕

The decorations are coming along nicely… now all we need is the sunshine! ☀️🤞

🍽️❤️ SUNDAY LUNCH AT GRESHAM LODGE ❤️🍽️

You can’t beat a good traditional Sunday roast, and our residents certainly enjoyed theirs! 😋

Sunday lunch was a delicious roast dinner with all the trimmings — roast meat, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, vegetables and plenty of lovely gravy. 🥩🥔🥕🥦

For pudding, residents had a choice of something sweet and delicious, including fruit cocktail 🍑🍒🍇 or a lovely chocolate cake served with cream. 🍰🤎

Good food is such an important part of life at Gresham Lodge, and Sundays are all about enjoying a comforting home-cooked meal together. 🏡❤️
