Seaton Carew. Sunday afternoon.

Two children were in the water. The tide had them.

Their father, Wayne Taylor, went in. A grandfather, Ian Pascoe, 62 — walking his dog with his wife — handed her his phone, said "I'll be back in a bit," and went in. A third man, Davey Short, 48, went in too.

Both children came home.

Wayne did not. Ian did not.

Nobody trained them. Nobody asked them. Nobody paid them. They just went in.

That is safeguarding. Not a policy. Not a form. A person who steps forward when someone else's child is in the water.

Rest in peace, Wayne. Rest in peace, Ian. And thank you, Davey.

We're live. orviahealthcare.co.uk is officially up and running. Months of work, late nights, and a team that refused to cut corners.

The Witness Room is integrated. Reporting is built. The backend is working. And the website finally looks and feels like what I always had in my head. This wasn't built by one person.

Perplexity built the front end. Viktor handled the backend and operations. Every piece was challenged, tested and rebuilt until it was right.
