We’re looking for patients to get involved with our Patient Participation Group (PPG).

Our PPG is a great way to share your experiences, ideas and suggestions, and help us understand what matters most to our patients. Your feedback can help shape and improve the services we provide.

You don’t need any special experience or medical knowledge we simply want to hear from you. Whether you have lots to say or just an occasional idea, your voice matters.

👥 Interested in getting involved?
We’d love to hear from you.

Please speak to a member of our reception team or contact the practice to find out more about joining our Patient Participation Group.

☀️ Staying Well in Hot Weather

Hot weather can be enjoyable, but it’s important to take extra care when temperatures rise. Dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke can affect anyone, with older people, young children and those with long-term health conditions at greater risk.

Here are some simple ways to stay safe:

💧 Drink plenty of fluids regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
🧴 Use sunscreen, wear a hat and choose loose, light-coloured clothing.
🌳 Stay in the shade and avoid the hottest part of the day, particularly between 11am and 3pm.
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains and blinds during the day and opening windows when it is cooler outside.
🏃 Avoid strenuous exercise during the hottest part of the day.
👵 Check on family, friends and neighbours who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

For more advice on keeping safe in hot weather, visit the NHS website.

Small Steps, Lasting Wellness 🌿

August is **National Wellness Month** — a reminder that wellness doesn’t have to mean big, life-changing transformations. It can start with small, sustainable choices that support your **physical, mental and emotional well-being**.

Whether it’s taking a few minutes to recharge, moving your body, nourishing yourself well, setting healthy boundaries, or simply making time for what brings you joy — every small step counts.

Let’s make self-care an everyday practice, not a once-in-a-while luxury. 💚

**How are you prioritising your wellness this month?**

🤱 World Breastfeeding Week | 1–7 August

This World Breastfeeding Week, we recognise and celebrate the many breastfeeding journeys of parents and families everywhere.

Breastfeeding offers significant health benefits for both babies and mothers, but every family's feeding journey is unique. Whether you're breastfeeding, combination feeding, expressing, or looking for support, remember that help is available, and you don't have to do it alone.

If you have questions about feeding your baby or need breastfeeding support, please speak to your health visitor, midwife, or a member of our practice team. We're here to help you access the right advice and support.

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is a global campaign to raise awareness and galvanise action on themes related to breastfeeding.
