Did you know your shadow can give you a pretty useful clue about vitamin D? ☀️
Vitamin D helps us absorb calcium and phosphate, supporting healthy bones, teeth and muscles. It also plays an important role in regulating our immune response.
The challenge is that relatively few foods naturally contain much vitamin D, and here in the UK we can’t rely on sunlight all year round.
So while I’m generally very much food first, vitamin D is one nutrient where supplementation genuinely has a place.
For most adults in the UK, 10 µg (400 IU) a day is recommended during autumn and winter.
Have a flick through the slides to see what your shadow has to do with it. 👀☀️
And save this one for October.
