Every week, I get messages that start with something like… ā€œI’ve been meaning to book for ages.ā€

Life gets busy, you put everyone else first, you tell yourself you’ll sort it after the holidays, after the baby arrives, after work calms down.

Consider this your gentle reminder that you deserve expert care too.

I’ve opened my summer availability for both:
šŸ“ in-person clinics shropshire_health_clinic
šŸ“ online ā€œAsk The Consultantā€ appointments

Whether you need help planning a pregnancy, making birth decisions, recovering after birth, navigating menopause, or simply want answers from someone who’ll take the time to listen, I’m here šŸ‘‹

If you’ve been thinking ā€œI really should bookā€, this is your sign.

🌸 Our new Sunday Series - and it’s all about YOU. 🌸

There’s something I hear again and again from people after they see me. It’s not always about their diagnoses, their treatment plans or my expert knowledge.

It’s about how they felt.

Clear, un-rushed, relieved. Safe to ask questions they’ve been holding onto for months, sometimes years. Because for so many, that hasn’t been their experience of healthcare before.

So I’m sharing these words, not to ā€œshow offā€ but so you know what’s possible when you come and see me. Because this is what should be the standard.

If you’ve never felt like this in your healthcare before, you’re not asking for too much. You just haven’t found me yet.

With care, as always,

Dr Laura Bangs

🌸 This is my final Week in Bloom 🄹 Week 15 🌸

It feels like the right time. Not because I don’t love it, but because the very thing it’s been documenting is growing.

This week was a bit of a microcosm of that.

Big conversations, new opportunities and moments that made me pause and think ā€œokay, this is ACTUALLY happeningā€ 🤭

Even the parts that didn’t go to plan (like my birthday starting at 2am with a vomiting child and cancelled plans) somehow led to something I couldn’t have orchestrated any better if I tried.

An unexpected media opportunity that almost said no to, but didn’t.

There was also a quiet moment this week that will stay with me for a long time.

Walking back into a room full of medics for the first time since leaving the NHS…something I’d been avoiding more than I’d realised 😬

And finding it easy, familiar, supportive.
And knowing, without question, that I made the right decision.

So this feels like a natural point to evolve things.

From next month, I’ll be sharing a ā€œMonth in Bloomā€: a more spacious reflection on the last Sunday of each month.

And Sundays aren’t going anywhere…
I’ve got something new coming next week that I’m really excited about (and slightly nervous to share).

If you’ve been here for The Week in Bloom…
THANK YOU 🫶 It’s been one of my favourite things to create šŸ¤

Next chapter, same heart, just a slightly different rhythm.

With care, as always,

There’s a moment after you have a baby…when everything goes quiet.

Not literally.
There’s noise everywhere.
The baby, the messages, the visitors.

But for you?

It can feel like no one is really looking.

You’re healing.
You’re processing what just happened.
You’re trying to understand your body again.

And yet, so may women are left thinking:

šŸ’ ā€œIs this normal?ā€
šŸ’ ā€œShould I feel like this?ā€
šŸ’ ā€œAm I just being dramatic?ā€

You’re not.
You’ve just been left to figure it out alone.

And the truth is, postnatal care was never meant to feel like that.

You deserve:
🌸 clear, honest explanations
🌸 space to ask questions (even the ones you’re not sure how to ask)
🌸 someone to tell you what’s normal and what isn’t
🌸 someone who is actually focused on you, not your baby

That’s exactly why I offer postnatal assessments.

ā° Not rushed.
šŸ“‹ Not tick-box.
ā³Not ā€œyou’ve got 10 minutes, goā€

Just proper, thoughtful, personalised care so you can feel clear, supported and like yourself again.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone šŸ¤
And if you’re in that postnatal stage right now…you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

With care, as always,

21/04/2026

There’s something I’ve been sitting with for a while now…

So many women are navigating postnatal recovery, birth experiences and their health in general feeling unsure, unheard or like they just need to ā€œget on with itā€.

And at the same time, life feels expensive right now (because it is). So even when something would help, it gets pushed down the list.

That never felt right to me.

Because postnatal care isn’t a luxury.
Understand your symptoms and your body isn’t a luxury.
Having the time to get assessed and actually talk things through with a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist shouldn’t feel out of reach.

So, I’ve made some changes to make all my appointments feel more accessible, without compromising on the care, the time or the support you receive.

This is about getting properly checked out.
This is about getting the answers you need.
This is about giving you space to be listened to.
To properly understand your options, possibly your recover and your body.

If you’ve been putting yourself on hold, this is your gentle reminder that now, you don’t have to.

🌸 The Week in Bloom - Week 14 🌸

There’s a point where a business stops feeling like something you’re trying to build, and starts feeling like something that’s actually taking shape.

This wee I made some big decisions about the direction of over the next six months. Not reactive decisions, not ā€œlet’s see what happensā€ decisions.

Intentional ones. Rooted in clarity, experience and a much deeper understanding of the women I’m here to support.

Interestingly, the biggest shift isn’t just the strategy. It was in how I showed up. In my health, in my boundaries, in the way I spent my time. In the fact I didn’t ask permission to be present for moments that matter.

Building something meaningful isn’t just about what you create, it’s about who you become in the process.

If you’re in a season of growth right now, whether in your work, your family life, or just internally, you’ll probably recognise that feeling. It’s quiet, certain. Different.

Usually you’re on the cusp of something bigger.

I’ve got more to tell you about where is going. I’ll share it with you on Tuesday, so keep you eyes and ears open…

With care, as always,

Dr Laura Bangs

🌸 The Week in Bloom - Week 13 🌸

Ahh, the week that I thought was wildly unproductive.

No big launches, no major announcements, no ā€œooh look at me momentsā€ 🤣

But inside, everything recalibrated.

After months of building at full pace, I finally stepped away. No emails, minimal messages and actual presence with my family. Being where your feet are šŸ‘£

Rest hasn’t slowed me down, it’s sharpened the sword.

I’ve come back clearer, more intentional and with a much stronger sense of the standard I want to set as this business grows.

There are some VERY exciting things in the pipeline (including a potential new clinic space šŸ‘€) but more than that, there’s been a shift in how I’m showing up.

I’m less reactive.
I’m more deliberate.
I’m more aligned and my vision is BIGGER.

What’s your week given you?! 😳 🤯 😊

With care, as always,

Dr Laura Bangs
