💛 BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS & BUILDING BETTER SUPPORT 💛

Today I met with Amy to discuss how we can work together to help Sue and Carole support people within our community who may struggle with language barriers.

A language barrier should never prevent someone from accessing the support they need. Whether that’s mental health support, physical wellbeing, community services or simply having someone who can help them understand what support is available, we want to make things easier and more accessible for everyone.

It was a really positive conversation, and I’m looking forward to brainstorming more ideas, building on this work and meeting again soon.

Everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and supported. 💚

A fantastic example of partnership working between Shine, New Life Church, The Storehouse Skegness and the Wellbeing & Recovery College.

ALFORD | COMMUNITY • CONNECTION • SUPPORT

Today I met with (Donna East Lindsey Coastal Community Connector - Mablethorpe) at The Storehouse Alford to discuss how we can continue working together to support our local community.

The Storehouse offers so much under one roof a community café, community meals, food bank, youth centre, mental health support and more. Working collaboratively means we can connect people with the right support when they need it.

We're looking for a volunteer to join our wonderful Skegness Eve group, held every Thursday evening between 6PM & 8PM at 40 Algitha Road.

Eve is a safe, welcoming space where women come together to chat, build friendships, improve their wellbeing, and remind one another that no one has to face life's challenges alone. As a volunteer, you'll be helping create that warm, supportive environment for ladies in our local area.

✨ Experience in mental health or wellbeing is desirable, but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so all we ask is that you have a kind heart, a listening ear and a genuine desire to help others.
