Please note - there are stairs to get up to the room at this venue, but support can also be provided downstairs wherever needed.

The wonderful Sophie and Becky at Craft Social are our lovely hosts, you can buy their delicious cakes and drinks, and also pay for various craft activities for your little people if you want to bring them with you ☕

They usually arrive a little after 9.30am but there are plenty of toys to play with before then if we need them 🧸

Here I explain a little bit about tongue function 👅

Our tongue serve many important purposes in our bodies, so it is important that it can do what it needs to do 💪🏻

To put it simply, can it move:

😋 In and out?
😋 Up and down?
😋 Side to side?
😋 In a wave motion?

Assessing these movements is crucial to exploring a baby's oral dysfunction and diagnosing a tongue tie 🕵🏻‍♀️

If you have been told your baby doesn't have a tongue tie but the assessment didn't involve checking these movements and you and/or your baby are still having problems, then seek another opinion from a practitioner who can give you and your baby a holistic assessment and skilled feeding support ✨

The feeding group is on again at a new time of 9.30am starting from this week, still on Wednesday's at Craft Social in Skipton ✨

All are welcome to come along, however you are feeding your lovely baby 🌱

I am there to give advice, lend an empathetic listening ear to your feeding troubles and be your cheerleader! 👏🏻

Or if things are going well right now but you want to share your wisdom with other parents, then you are more than welcome too 🙌🏻

I am also there to check up on and provide aftercare support for those little ones who I have seen for tongue tie appointments, although any babies post tongue tie procedure are welcome 😋

The feeding support group is on again at the same time and place this week, at 12.30pm in Wednesday at Craft Social in Skipton ✨

All are welcome to come along! I am there to give advice and lend an empathetic listening ear to your feeding troubles. I am also there to check healing and provide aftercare support for those little ones who I have seen for tongue tie procedures, although any babies post tongue tie procedure are welcome 😋
