Were you taught that exercise only counts when it leaves us sweaty, breathless and unable to walk normally the following day?
No pain, no gain.
Push through.
Go harder.
Burn more.
But your body does not need to be punished into becoming stronger.
Strength can be built gradually.
It might begin with:
➡️Five sit-to-stands from a chair
➡️Wall push-ups
➡️Carrying light weights
➡️A short resistance-band routine
➡️Practising balance beside a worktop
The movement may look simple.
That does not make it pointless.
You are allowed to begin where your body is today, not where it was ten years ago or where you think it “should” be.
Progress is not measured by how much discomfort you can tolerate. It is measured by what you can do more confidently over time.
