🚨 LET’S TALK HIFU — RESULTS, REALITY & SALES PITCHES

At The Essex Way Clinic, we believe clients deserve to understand what their treatment is actually doing not just be shown a dramatic before & after.
Firstly… HIFU is NOT an instant-result treatment.
HIFU works by delivering focused ultrasound energy beneath the skin, creating a controlled thermal response that stimulates your body’s natural collagen-remodelling process.
✨ The real results develop gradually over the following months as collagen remodels and strengthens.
So please be cautious when you see HIFU marketed with dramatic “instant” lifting results. Immediately after treatment, temporary changes such as swelling or tissue response can occur, but new collagen has not suddenly been produced within minutes.
Now let’s talk about something else we’re seeing…
💉 HIFU + the “Nefertiti Neck Lift”
A Nefertiti neck lift uses anti-wrinkle injections in the platysma/lower face and neck to reduce the downward pull of the muscle and can create a more lifted, defined appearance around the jawline.
There is absolutely a place for combination treatments when they are clinically appropriate.
BUT clients should be told which treatment is responsible for which result.
If anti-wrinkle treatment and HIFU are performed as part of the same treatment plan, an improvement appearing within the following days/weeks should not automatically be presented as proof that the HIFU has already “worked.”
They work through completely different mechanisms and timelines.
And finally…
❌ HIFU is NOT suitable for everybody.
We assess every client individually. HIFU is generally best suited to appropriate cases of mild–moderate skin laxity, and sometimes what appears to be “sagging” around the lower face is influenced by anatomy or muscular pull instead.
More treatment does not automatically mean better treatment.
