Tuesday 4th August 2.30-4.30 we are having an afternoon tea in the surgery. This is to raise money for Breast Cancer. There will be breast self check leaflets and guidance available.

This week is national diabetes week. When you have diabetes, you need regular health checks to tell you and your healthcare team how diabetes is affecting your body. These vital tests can spot changes to your average blood sugar levels, kidneys, heart, eyes and feet. These results help you make decisions on how to manage your condition.

Our Type 2 Diabetic patients will first be invited to a “part 1a” appointment for their blood test, blood pressure and foot check. They will then be invited to join a Group Consultation for their review.

The groups will provide:
⭐️peer support
⭐️learning from others
⭐️increased patient engagement with their condition
⭐️more efficient use of clinician time
