World Su***de Prevention Day 2026

Today, we pause to remember those we have sadly lost to su***de and to recognise the profound impact their loss can have on families, friends and our wider community.

At Hailsham Funeral Service, we understand that grief can be overwhelming, and that sometimes the pain people carry is not always visible. Today is a reminder of the importance of talking, listening and being there for one another.

Today, we take a moment to recognise and thank the emergency service teams who work tirelessly to protect and support our community.

From the police, fire and rescue services, to paramedics, ambulance crews, coastguards and all those working behind the scenes, your dedication, courage and compassion make an enormous difference, often in the most difficult circumstances.

From our perspective as a funeral service in Hailsham, we sometimes see the other side of the work you do. We witness the care and professionalism you show families during some of their darkest moments, and we know how much that support can mean.

Once the funeral service has taken place, there may be further arrangements to make. You may wish for cremated remains to be interred into a cemetery or churchyard, or scattered somewhere. You may wish to have a memorial made to mark a grave, or add an inscription to an existing. Rest assured these are all things we can help take care of as part of your funeral requests.
