Are you organised, compassionate and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Join our Emergency Department team at Airedale Hospital and become the welcoming face of one of the busiest areas of our Trust. 💙

📍 Airedale Hospital, Keighley
📋 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
⏰ 30 hours per week
🌙 Includes a mixture of shifts, including nights
💷 £25,760 - £27,476 pro rata per annum
📅 Closing Date: 18 September 2026

As an Emergency Department Receptionist, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients, relatives and clinical teams by:

✅ Registering patients attending ED
✅ Providing excellent customer service and support
✅ Managing enquiries and administrative tasks
✅ Supporting patients and families in difficult situations
✅ Working closely with nurses, doctors and multidisciplinary teams

We're looking for someone with healthcare reception or administration experience who can remain calm under pressure, communicate with empathy and deliver outstanding service.

We're looking for a compassionate End of Life Support Assistant (Band 4) to join our Palliative Care Team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

This rewarding role supports patients in their final hours and days, ensuring they receive dignified, personalised care while also providing emotional and practical support to their loved ones.

✨ Permanent role
⏰ 22.5 hours per week (including weekends)
📍 Airedale General Hospital, Steeton
💷 £28,392 - £31,157 pro rata
📅 Closing date: 18 September 2026

As part of our dedicated team, you'll:
🤝 Support patients and families during end of life care
💙 Help deliver comfort, dignity and compassionate care
🗣️ Provide emotional and bereavement support

Freya is our Clinical Director of the Securing the Future Programme and has worked at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust for almost six years.

Freya lives with dyslexia, a hidden disability that affects around 1 in 10 people in the UK. While dyslexia can create daily challenges, it has also helped her develop strengths in creativity, innovation, problem-solving and seeing the bigger picture.

Diagnosed at 41, Freya has worked hard to develop strategies that help her succeed, and throughout her career has benefited from supportive colleagues and workplace adjustments.

As Co-Chair of our Disability Staff Network, she is passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where colleagues feel confident bringing their whole selves to work.

"My dyslexia gives me a different lens through which I view the world. It's part of who I am and has shaped the leader I've become."
