We’re officially Veteran Aware!

Emelia Spencer, National SARC Director said: "We’re delighted to share that Mountain Healthcare has been accredited as Veteran Aware, recognising our commitment to compassionate, trauma informed care for those who serve, have served, and their families across our SARC and Custody services."

What this means:
We proactively identify and support members of the Armed Forces community in our care.

Our teams have dedicated training and practical resources to offer the right help, first time.

We partner with NHS services and military charities so people can access specialist support when they need it.

Sexual assault referral centres (SARCs) offer specialist care:

✓ Medical support including emergency contraception
✓ Emotional care and counselling
✓ You decide if you want to involve the police.
✓ Contact 24/7 to make an appointment

"Is it too late to get support?" "Do I have to talk to the police?" "What if I'm not sure what happened counts?"

Sexual assault referral centres (SARCs) are here for anyone who has been r***d or sexually assaulted or abused at any time in their life.
Available across England, SARCs provide specialist medical care and emotional support in a place where you will be listened to and believed in a place where you are safe.

You can get help from a SARC without involving the police.
