At Rose Tree Care Home, we love helping our residents continue enjoying the things that bring them joy. One of our residents recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to watch a live football match, taking in the atmosphere, cheering from the stands, and reliving wonderful sporting memories.

Our residents enjoyed a lovely gardening session planting bright, beautiful sunflowers and making the most of the summer sunshine… while it was here! ☀️😊
It was a peaceful and joyful activity filled with fresh air, laughter, and a shared love for nature. We can’t wait to watch our sunflowers grow and bring even more colour to our garden in the weeks ahead!

What makes us who we are? 💙

During Dementia Awareness Week, we asked our wonderful residents and staff a simple but meaningful question: "What brings you joy?"

The answers were as unique as the people who shared them:

☀️ Sunshine
🏋️ Going to the gym
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family, grandchildren, nieces and nephews
🐶 Dogs (and of course, Puddle!)
⚽ Football
🎵 Elvis and chocolate
🛍️ Shopping
😊 Making people happy and making people smile
💷 Money... lots of it!
❤️ Spending time with loved ones

These conversations reminded us how important it is to truly know and understand the people we care for. The little things, cherished memories, favourite people, and treasured companions all play a part in shaping who we are.

🐶💖 Tails wagging and smiles all around!

Our residents at Rose Tree Care Home were delighted to welcome a very special four-legged visitor. The dog visit brought plenty of cuddles, laughter, and heartwarming moments, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the home.

Animal visits can have such a positive impact on wellbeing, sparking conversations, happy memories, and lots of joy for everyone involved. 🐾

Olé! This month, our residents took a wonderful trip to Spain without leaving home! ☀️

As part of our cultural celebrations, Spain was our chosen country of the month, bringing an afternoon filled with music, laughter, and delicious food.

Residents enjoyed singing, dancing, and sharing a traditional Spanish paella together, creating meaningful moments and wonderful memories along the way.

Exploring different cultures is a fantastic way to encourage connection, spark conversations, and bring joy to everyday life. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the vibrant spirit of Spain and enjoying the experience together.

From the sounds of Spanish music to the flavours of traditional paella, today we brought a little piece of Spain into our home 💚

Residents had a fantastic time singing, dancing, and embracing Spanish culture as part of our monthly country-themed celebration.

These experiences are about more than just having fun. They encourage social connection, create meaningful conversations, and give residents the opportunity to explore different cultures and traditions together.
