World gratitude day!! 🤍

Practicing gratitude is a core principle of mindfulness.

It’s so easy to take things for granted, so today we get to give gratitude its rightful place in our life.

What are you grateful for today?

I am grateful for experience. Without experience I wouldn’t know what it was to live.

What a joy to experience ❤️

Thank you to you,

Love
Lyndsay 💚

🌱 World Gratitude Day – Meditation - Free of Charge 🌱
- Joining link to be shared tomorrow -

Join me tomorrow evening, for a gentle meditation session to celebrate World Gratitude Day and take a little time to pause, breathe and reflect on the things we’re grateful for, completely free of charge.

We’ll begin with a short, guided meditation, creating a little space to slow down and reconnect with the present moment.

Afterwards, you can choose what feels right for you:

🌿 Drop off the session — take your moment of stillness and head off feeling a little more grounded.

🌿 Stay and learn — hang around for an informal chat and find out a little more about mindfulness and how it can be brought into everyday life.

🌿 Stay in silent meditation — continue with some further silent meditation together, simply enjoying the stillness and shared space.

There’s no right or wrong way to take part and no expectations — come as you are and stay for as long as feels right for you.

A simple opportunity to pause, breathe, be present and notice what there is to be grateful for.

Free session · Everyone welcome · No meditation experience needed

The Buddha and the Angry Man:

One day, while the Buddha was walking with his disciples, a furious man rushed toward him.

His face was filled with anger.
His words were harsh and bitter.
He shouted, insulted him, and tried again and again to provoke him.

The disciples became upset.
Some stepped forward and asked the Buddha for permission to send the man away.

But the Buddha remained calm…
silent…
unmoved — like a deep lake that remains still even when the wind moves across its surface.

The man continued shouting until he had no strength left.
And when silence finally returned, the Buddha gently asked him:

“My friend, if someone offers you a gift, and you do not accept it… who does the gift belong to?”

The man, surprised by the question, replied,

“It belongs to the one who offered it.”

The Buddha smiled and said:

“In the same way, you came here offering me anger, insults, and hatred.
But I do not accept them.
So they remain with you… not with me.”

The man stood speechless.

For the first time, he saw the truth clearly:

Anger has no power over you
unless you choose to receive it.

🪷Takeaway 🪷

Not every insult deserves an answer.
Not every argument deserves your energy.
Not every provocation deserves your attention.

You do not have to carry the anger someone else brings to you.

Sometimes strength is not found in fighting back,
but in remaining calm when someone tries to disturb your peace.

Let others carry their anger. You do not have to make it yours.

Protect your peace.
Choose your response.
Walk away with your calm intact.✨

🎨 A gentle reminder… our first face-to-face session is next week! 🍂

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our Mindful Painting session at Werrington Community Library.

This is a chance to take some time for yourself, with guided meditations, gentle mindfulness and painting by numbers — with everything provided for you:

🎨 Paint-by-numbers canvas
🖌️ All paints and materials
🧘‍♀️ Guided meditations including Conscious Breathing & Chocolate Meditation 🍫
☕ Refreshments
🏡 And your canvas to take home with you

There’s absolutely no pressure to create a masterpiece or even finish your painting. It’s simply about enjoying the experience and seeing where it takes you.

Mindfulness isn't about emptying your mind or making worries disappear. It's about learning to notice what is happening in the present moment. The NHS notes that mindfulness can help us recognise signs of stress and anxiety and develop ways of responding to them.
So, while you're painting, you might simply notice the colours, the brush in your hand, the sounds around you or how you're feeling — allowing yourself to be absorbed in the moment.

📅 Saturday 26th September
⏰ 10am – 12pm
📍 Werrington Community Library, Stoke-on-Trent
💷 £45

Spaces are limited, so booking in advance is recommended.

You can book your place here:

If you'd like to read a little more about mindfulness and its relationship with stress and anxiety, the NHS has some useful information here: https://www.nhs.uk/mental-health/self-help/tips-and-support/mindfulness/

🌿 A little space to stop. Breathe. Let go 🌿

Some tension we carry for so long, we forget it’s there.

These gentle workshops offer a chance to slow down, notice what you’re carrying, and gently set some of it down.

Each 90-minute session brings together guided meditation, reflective discussion and gentle enquiry — creating space to pause, explore and reconnect with your own experience.

🧘 Guided meditation – accessible and suitable for beginners
💬 Reflective discussion – exploring the theme together
🌿 Gentle enquiry – simple prompts to help you notice and explore

There’s no pressure to share, no right or wrong way to participate, and no experience needed. All you need is a willingness to show up and take a little time for yourself.

Each session stands alone, so you can come along whenever feels right for you.

£15 per session | 90 minutes
Saturday & Sunday | 7pm–8.30pm

✨ For anyone who’s been running on empty — and is ready, even briefly, to stop
