Day 5 - Son Bou back to Mao where it started last Saturday....5 days, 185k,.all sorts of weather. Started and finished in baking sun. Not sure there was a flat bit out there. Hardest thing I have ever done and to be honest quite an emotional finish. Thanks for the support Camí de Cavalls 360° and all my friends for the messages of support. 🍻

Day 4 - Son Xoriguer to Son Bou...back to the heat of day one...cant believe the difference. Rocky and hilly, followed by hilly and foresty 😅...finished with a 5k stroll along the beach to give the feet a wash and wait for check in. One more day to go....hamstring giving me issues so stretch, rest and painkillers...to be fair done well to get to here without 'physical' issues!!!

Day 3 Cala Morell to Son Xoriguer....scary on the cliff tops...don't tell the wife but a few times it was close to the edge!!

Gale force winds, driving rain, soaked....First 15k made myself run more even though terrain was treacherous as needed to keep moving.

Ciutadella onwards fractionally better but tarmac followed by more rocks....2 days to go.

Day 2...25mph plus winds, rain (although light for the first 25k)...more hills than yesterday and over 5 hours on my fee...

185km over 5 days (or 115 miles)

Equivalent to 4.4 marathons or just less than 9 half marathons

or as I prefer 18.5 10k's or 37 Park Runs!!!

Never ran more than 26.2 miles before so uncharted territory for me.

Day 1 (11th April) - just under 44k with over 2,500ft of elevation......(see why I prefer just under 9 5k's ;-))

Just a quick note !

Firstly, well done to all my clients who raced at the first today - I understand it was a great success and awesome to see clients on podium places and fantastic times across the board. (and others I can't tag in)

Tomorrow is the an older race but with a brand new route - good luck to all my clients, friends, fellow Bats you will all be awesome.

Unfortunately, I can't join you as I am off for a family holiday for a few days before my big adventure (watch this space )

Good evening everyone

I hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine this week.

I may have mentioned to some of you that I am tickioff ang 'Bucket List' objective in April - I am running around the island of Menorca.

180km in 5 days - nice and steady and doing it for enjoyment, no time limits (other than the plane back on the Friday), no charity, no pressure, just me and my brother enjoying the beautiful Cami de Cavalls trail around the island.

I will post a few pictures, might even try a few videos but the reason for the post is to let you know, especially those doing marathons, that I will be closed for most of the first 2 weeks in April. Possibly last day Thursday 2nd (may open on Good Friday -family permitting) and not returning until Monday 20th April.

Now I know a few of you are doing Manchester on the 19th so I am proposing opening on the 9th April for a few hours between a family Easter break and the trip to Menorca - its the only day I am in the country......if you want me to open then book in asap so I can plan my packing please.
