We can also provide wraparound care for school children attending the village school in Brown Edge which is next door. I have worked with children and families for 25 years in varying roles such as nursery nurse, nanny, teaching assistant and communication champion for the local authority. I have strived to continually keep my professional practice up to date and completed my BA Hons in Early Chi
ldhood a few years ago. I have my first aid for caring for children and an outdoor advanced first aid training certificate. I have completed my Safeguarding training, myself and my family have enhanced DBS checks and Public Liability insurance is in place. I will ensure that children in my care are nurtured in a cosy and a caring home from home environment with plenty of opportunities to get outdoors, become creative and enjoy lots of messy muddy fun! Our cosy cabin provides a small kitchen area, baby changing facilities and toilet. I have created areas inside the cabin for children to play, learn and socialise with friends and to use their imagination to lead their own learning and follow their own interests. The cabin has a home corner, messy play area, cosy den area for reading, quiet time or a nap. I have a variety of open ended resources for children to explore and learn with, as well as providing ample opportunites for their development to progress as they follow their curiousity! The cabin has a cosy sofa for storytime and circletime where we can come together and share stories and reflect on our learning together. Outside we have a paddock with mud kitchen, potion play to create and mix flowers and colours, playhouse and plenty of outdoor space for children to free range and explore. There will also be chickens, and rabbits for the children to care for and learn from with some visitors from time to time. We currently have some sheep grazing in the field and an abundance of wildlife for the children to learn about. The property and gardens are all fenced and secure.
