Time For

Time For Personalised therapy - because one-size does not fit all. We don't ask to be born into this world, and yet here we find ourselves. Especially if we're young.

With over 30 years experience in the mental health arenas, I can offer tailored work to suit your needs - counselling, hypnotherapy, lifeline rewrites, stress reduction, trauma recovery. Sometimes the situation in which we find ourselves feels instinctively 'wrong', unfair, but the only option open to us is to manage as best we can. Or old. Or any age really. When the 'managing as best we can' lea

ves us drained, or unsure of who we are, feeling guilty for 'not doing better', or angry at the world in general, that's the time to seek support and help to make sense of what is going on. If your experiences have included being outright abused, neglected, ridiculed, bullied, ignored and dismissed, or you have witnessed trauma the like of which no one ought to see or feel, then getting support can prove to be a lifeline. Just because you may be able to look around and see others apparently doing better, seemingly having a good life, or having it 'worse' than you, this does not mean that your efforts are failing. Or that your difficulties are in any way irrelevant or too small to trouble someone with. If you have been told you have depression, anxiety, PTSD, BPD, DID, or any mental health diagnosis, you will be welcome here - I don't automatically exclude anyone because of a label. Knowing that there is someone here who not only cares about your situation, but also how you are, and who could also help you to gain some level of peace of mind and a life that feels better, I hope gives you some hope. If you feel you want some help, get in touch. I have years of experience of helping fellow human beings to battle their demons, regain their equilibrium, put down the burdens carried for others, and feel better. Live better. You can do this. And I could help you - because I've been there.

I've just been watching the quiet movements of a deer in the meadow next door.

A beautiful sight.

Being dusk, it was too dark to get any picture, so I'll have to ask you to imagine it gently stepping, eating plants...

Picture anyway - from the internet

Weekend roundup.

Well, we got through the broadband changeover with no difficulties, thankfully. You know how it is with tech - looks to be easy, and *should* be so, but if the plan doesn't allow for the tech gremlins....😬 Happily, they didn't make an appearance πŸ‘β˜ΊοΈ

A busy-looking week became not-so-busy as folk needed to rearrange.
And the conference day wasn't really my thing.
But we must try these things in order to know πŸ‘

This coming week is busy in a good way, including self-care, my own clinical supervision, and a day-long workshop about what the law now says about the police seeking disclosure from therapists.

Whatever your week is looking like, I hope it's not too heavy, and I look forward to seeing those booked in with me.

Feels a bit close to home?

Is this your experience?

If you're looking for somewhere and someone who'll not just dismiss you, and will truly listen, here could be a good thing.
I will always listen.
And truly hear.

And if it's not something I personally can help with, I will try to point towards more useful places.

I've been around a long time now in the mental health arena - and you are welcome here.
Especially if the NHS has deemed you "too complex"......

Like that mahoosive pigeon that somehow flew by.....

Gawd knows how it keeps aloft!
It's that big!

And yet it does, and flies to a branch, lands on the branch that then bows and sways like it's about to snap......

But it doesn't snap.
And the pigeon lands there, swinging up and down on that branch that didn't snap.

Because maybe that pigeon knew it'd be ok anyway.

If the branch snapped..... it'd fly off again. Safe and in control.
But that branch didn't snap, so the pigeon rode the branch as it swayed up and down....

Trusting that we can ride whatever life brings us can often be a huge leap. We try to avoid that Thing....by trying to be all "I have Control all the time" (perfectionism, overworking.....), or by not risking it at all....(Why bother? I can't do that.....) Some might label that situation "depression".

However it feels to you, it might not even be about you!
Genuinely.

For heartfelt listening, understanding, and an aim for you to be The Best Version of You...

Slow food.

Slow making.

Slow living.

Not to be slow, as a negative thing, but to travel in a way that allows us to notice what's around. What's there. Reality. Not the high-paced procession of blur.

Is your life a blur?

Do you even know who you are anymore?

Because it's not just counselling - whatever that even means.... it's about meeting ourselves in our place, aided by nature, trees, herbal attentions, and a realisation that we're not divorced from the natural world around us.

Huge love, Ros. X

What do you think?

As a mental health nurse in a variety of settings in a previous life - including acute NHS care, military, and rehabilitation - I can quite see this as a way that folk were forced to comply.
It remains.
If you don't take the meds, because they make you feel truly horrific, then the label 'non-compliant' was often used in MDT meetings.....
No option for discussion - no opportunity to offer Why the meds were not being taken.

Simply "non-compliance, so discharge them".

Ugh 😫

If you don't fit their requirements, you're rejected. I never liked that. And I left.

I'm not just another version of societal policing - I want to offer genuine help.

Gentle reminder

Tomorrow, 29th May '26, our broadband is being changed.
*Should* be easy enough - but, y'know, tech 😞

Passwords for all linked things need swapping, and the opportunity for mess-up remains high.

If you need to send me a message about changing an appointment, housekeeping stuff, please do so using text to 07906260310

Text isn't the place for full-on therapy sessions though - too little, too restrictive, not useful.

But I am still around on that text number if you need.

Kindest,
Ros

Today's tasks....

- check emails
- do all online things before the afternoon CPD conference (online)
- list things to do tomorrow when online is offline (broadband changeover) because you know that eternal lie we tell ourselves? The one involving 'don't need to note that, I'll remember it....'..... Yeah, that 🀷

Keep safe good people, keep hydrated, and avoid sunburn πŸ₯΅

I like this book.

It brings a certain sense of reality, cynicism, and a snigger or 2.

If you've read this, what did you think?

(oh, and secondhand helps with the environment, as well as being cheaper than brand new πŸ‘)
