📢 Important update about GP patient lists

You may have seen reports about GP practices across England carrying out more extensive “list cleansing”.

This is a routine process designed to make sure GP records are accurate and remove people who have moved away or are no longer registered.

Over 300,000 patients have reportedly been removed from GP lists across England in the past year. Patients who do not respond to letters asking them to confirm their registration may be removed, which could potentially affect access to their GP and continuity of care.

⚠️ If you receive a letter asking you to confirm that you are still registered with your GP practice, please respond as soon as possible.

If you have any concerns about your registration or believe you have been removed from our practice list incorrectly, please contact us so we can check your details.

We want to reassure our patients that your safety and continued access to your GP practice remain our priority. ❤️

👏Welcome to the practice, Dr Landric Dsouza 🩺who has joined our team as a GP ST2.

What does a GP ST2 mean? 🤨
Dr Dsouza is a qualified doctor who is undertaking his 3 year specialist training to become a GP. He is currently at the end of his 2nd year !
During his time with us, he will be working alongside our experienced GP team, caring for our patients while continuing to develop his knowledge and skills.

The results of the 2026 National GP survey have been released and we are incredibly proud to share our results with you.

They are a reflection of the hard work, dedication, professionalism, and compassion that all of the team brings to the practice every day. Providing excellent care isn't always easy, particularly when we continue to face increasing demand and pressure – and in 34 degrees of heat this week!! Well done Team Meon Medical Centre 🎉🎉🎉

** 321 postal surveys were sent out and 115 returned which gives us a 36% uptake

💊 Important Update Regarding Medication Supply Issues

We are doing everything we can to obtain your medication, but unfortunately some items are currently unavailable due to ongoing manufacturer and supplier shortages. This is outside of our control.

If we are unable to source your medication, we will do our best to provide you with a prescription that you can take to another pharmacy. Larger pharmacies may have access to a wider range of suppliers and stock than we do.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this time. Please remember that our dispensary team is working incredibly hard to help every patient. They are not responsible for these supply issues and should not be subjected to abuse, aggression, or disrespect.
