Martin is a compassionate and dedicated pet bereavement counsellor experienced in helping individuals and families navigate the profound grief that comes with the loss of a beloved animal companion. When Bess crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2022, Martin experienced firsthand the profound grief that comes with losing a beloved pet. It was during this difficult time that he recognised both the deep ne
ed for support and the distinct lack of professional pet bereavement counsellor’s. With qualifications in adult, children, and adolescent counselling, Martin is well-versed in helping individuals navigate a wide range of emotional challenges. However, his passion lies in pet bereavement, and he now devotes his practice solely to helping others through the loss of their animal companions. At home, Martin is surrounded by his three Labradors, a budgie, chickens, quail, and a tortoise who visits regularly, courtesy of one of his sons and partner. Married with two grown-up children, Martin understands that the death of a pet affects everyone differently. He works with his clients in a non-judgmental, calm, and empathetic manner, creating a safe space where emotions can be explored and healing can begin.
